QUOTE
After clinching the Asian Auto Allianz Auto “Best Local Assembled SUV” award earlier this year, the Mitsubishi ASX recently added two more titles to its collection of awards – from Autocar ASEAN and Cars, Bikes & Trucks, both publications choosing the ASX as a winner under their respective SUV categories.

there is an old proverb saying your pay peanut your get monkey. doesn't necessary I would say our asx is a monkey, but I do satisfied with the quality I am getting with the amount I parted in view of getting this beast. other tiny miny problem I do believe do arise across other brands also, but it might be isolated case notworthy.gif

Couldn't agree with you more smile.gif

Got my car early this month and there was a buzzing sound coming from the panel near the gear box when car is moving. Sent to SC and asked them to check and fix that. They found out that it was some "clip" that was not installed correctly thus causing the noise. They removed the gearbox cover and fix that for me within 30 minutes.

So you might want to just send your car to SC for them to fix. thumbup.gif

Overall I'm satisfy the value paid for the hard earned money especially features that you've gotten from this car is almost equivalent with cars about >RM150K range. rclxms.gif

However, the fittings are still miles away from satisfactory level and sent car to SC produced little result but will only have to spend some extra times to trouble-shoot the noise issues from dashboard and roof areas (panoramic roof)... cry.gif

Its juz conventional electronic coupling for the rear wheel drive on open differencial. No hanky panky AYC. However u can do 50/50 lock for front n rear wheel.. Its still on open diff .. Not much usez

Sorry, misintepreted ur question..

ASC n AYC is a diff system. ASC meant to keep the car going at the intended direction(layman term). It works passively.. Only kick in when it detect skid or lost traction.

AYC is a diff system that distribute power to the front or rear wheels.. U wont get that on normal car.. Evo's n ralliart will have it.. It utlize pressure pump towards front and rear diff to actively control the power to front or rear

U can have asc with ayc together

Thanks. you got my question spot on. Means if a asx wishes to install a AYC feature the whole axle needs to be replaced or mod with an EVO's right?

Talk easier than do for sure.

First of all.. The evo gb comes with LSD.
The rear diff comes with hydraulic control left n right n center (ayc system)

Not to mention the drive shaft will not fit asx (there is no evo version asx)

Item required for ayc to work..
1. SST gearbox / 5mt evo gb
2. SST gear shifter controller (sst only)
3. Rear diff evo
4. Rear diff reservo
5. Ayc pump
6. Pressure lining from front gearbox to rear ayc pump
7. Wirings
8. Modified all driveshaft.

My last check on the rear diff cost 1k usd used
The ayc pump another 1k usd
The sst gearbox cost 3-4k usd used

Both exclude tax and shipment.

U better off get an used evo x

LOl. ok, i thought there will be minimal mods on top of the existing system. seems like there are a long list of components. Thanks for the whole insight.
