do any of you use the Go SMS Pro app? i can't seem to send out MMS with that thing, but it works with the stock app

hey guys. just bought the desire s last saturday and i have already facing problems.
doesn't come from the device though, it occurs from me. haha.

ok, here's the problem, i've just installed widgetsoid 2.x from the market this morning. and chose the mobile data toggle as one of my switcher. and i found it is not working. so i look around the app and read the FAQS. did all the instructions from the FAQS such as change the prefix to classic, android and simple and click disable all APN each time i change the prefix. but now, my phone won't turn on mobile data when i toggle the switch from the settings page. i've renamed the APN to default celcom settings and it still does not work.

Sometimes wigetsoid data switcher might not work properly. But most of the time its working. What i did is turn off the mobile network in setting, and swith on back. You don't have to change APN setup at all. THe first thing you need to do is, turn on your mobile data in settings, and go to switcher and switch the data on. After that, you can swtich off and on from the swticher.

bdw..it a marvellous smart phone (far more greater than my bold 3)

anyway, is there any software i should install in order to give my
battery performance lasted more than a day

(fyi, my internet usage is merely 1-2 hrs a day-just for fb and twitter)

wait for few days, the battery will imporved alot.

thanks ruffstuff. reboot my device and it works. but sometimes the mobile data switcher does not function properly. it keeps turning on my mobile data even though i have toggled it off. hope there's a fix coming. aishh.

and i have another problem too. one of my contacts i.e. my girlfriend does not appear in the facebook for htc sense but instead is listed under my friends list on the actual facebook app. is there a way around this?

for me,previously suffering due to the phone charging everyday,then i jus off all auto sync except for my exchange e-mail acc (sync time i set to 1 hour for peak and 4 hours off-peak).

i off all the location svc,weather thingy and changed the wallpaper to the plain black one

i'm receiving basically 200-400 e-mails on weekday basis and i browse and play games after work for about 2 hours and for past 2 days my battery left at <20% with the battery savings activated

so i believe the usage was well balanced comparing i have to charge my phone at my office and before i go to bed

now i'm just charging it before i sleep

i downloaded just the juice defender (FOC one) and put on the blanced mode,so i'm not sure does it helps or not

set brightness manually instead of let it auto also help alot . since the screen use alot of battery

^ Yeah brightness too. I set it at 20% at home and 30% at office. Rarely use my phone outside.


Hm maybe try other player from the market?

Juice Defender is good if you like the phone to do it automatically. If not you can just tweak the settings manually. Also, the battery should get better after a few days. Just don't install automatic task killers.

not sure whether this has been asked to before in this forum... is there any way to snake the soft keys at the bottom to be lighted up all the time? Sometimes even in minimal lighting the keys don't light up.. tried turning off auto brightness but didn't work.. thanks.

i found 2 app . the alternative way to unlock phone without pressing lock button .
1. tap tap app (Proximity sensor) tap twice or more depend on setting to unlock the phone use as much battery as cell standby(in 2g mode) sometimes more . and the Proximity sensor on all the time . got video tutorial too check it out .

2.shakelock ( Accelerometer sensor) shake the phone to unlock . can set from level 1 to 5 . this turn off the Proximity sensor light on sleep mode so far i no battery usage info in battery use .



wonder which 1 is better . both app are free try it out . gv me some feedback which works best for you guys .

is suck for me . type on normal keyboard with prediction word . the typing even faster . i tried swype on my nokia 5800 and desire s it really slow me down alot
