Well, finally had time to play with the phone.
Build is rigid and solid, Rubberized back on the top and bottom section is quite nice on the touch. the small lil bend on the bottom of the phone ( as compared to the Hero/Legend ) is much subtle and doesn't seem so intrusive this time around.
Open up the rubberized battery cover is not a feat but putting it back could be tricky at times, other wise everything is fine.
1ghz Snap dragon seems to be doing it's work well, everything seems to be very smooth.
in the apps page, while scrolling, app icons are seen to move from page to page in rows of 4 instead of random rows. Guess that's one ui updates of Gingerbread.
The rest are pretty good. So far I have no complains. I've used both Desire and SGS and I would say it's comparable in terms of performances with a slightly smaller size.

TS, the color of your desire S is black or same as the one in the engadget picture?
Well, on one look it's black but if you look at it from different angle it has shades of dark grey

DS price from Maxis quite ridiculous compared to IS price by DiGi... On 12 month contract both also RM1499 but on 24 month IS much cheaper...
But on telco point... Maxis got larger coverage compare to DiGi... (Or i am wrong...)
Well, I've both a Maxis and Digi line. Let's just say no matter how cheap digi could offer a phone, I shall not go near it. What's the point of having a good phone but lousy coverage ?
