HTC seem to make their new & latest device an all out exclusive to the telco... Anyone can confirm this thing not exclusive only for Maxis..?

That what i'm afraid for... because the latest trend between telco show it point that way... (DiGi lock the IS, Maxis lock the DZ)...

Care to give some rough review for the phone, the build-quality and all, smooth or not...and after using it for few days, maybe can give us a detailed one smile.gif

can anyone with stock non-rooted desire with latest updates check the radio version number?

also need a recommendation guys - i miss the HTC calendar widget - the one which fills the whole page and you can click any date directly on the widget to add appointments and such. Im on CM7 and cant find a suitable calendar widget replacement.

DS price from Maxis quite ridiculous compared to IS price by DiGi... On 12 month contract both also RM1499 but on 24 month IS much cheaper...

But on telco point... Maxis got larger coverage compare to DiGi... (Or i am wrong...)

Well, finally had time to play with the phone.

Build is rigid and solid, Rubberized back on the top and bottom section is quite nice on the touch. the small lil bend on the bottom of the phone ( as compared to the Hero/Legend ) is much subtle and doesn't seem so intrusive this time around.

Open up the rubberized battery cover is not a feat but putting it back could be tricky at times, other wise everything is fine.

1ghz Snap dragon seems to be doing it's work well, everything seems to be very smooth.

in the apps page, while scrolling, app icons are seen to move from page to page in rows of 4 instead of random rows. Guess that's one ui updates of Gingerbread.

The rest are pretty good. So far I have no complains. I've used both Desire and SGS and I would say it's comparable in terms of performances with a slightly smaller size.

Well, on one look it's black but if you look at it from different angle it has shades of dark grey

Well, I've both a Maxis and Digi line. Let's just say no matter how cheap digi could offer a phone, I shall not go near it. What's the point of having a good phone but lousy coverage ?

+1 on that one... that why i mention Maxis has larger coverage if compare to DiGi... but then again... Maxis could make it a bit cheaper...

Should be cheaper, as IS plan is the same with DS plan, i guess in terms of performance & spec-wise, people will go for IS instead of DS..if Maxis lowered down the price for DS plan, that would be thumbup.gif
