megalodon, if im not mistaken, is virtual 7.1.. though it accepts 7.1 input, but the cups covering your ears only has 1 driver each..
the other real 5.1 is the barracuda headset..

megalodon is virtual 7.1..it might not be as discreet as real 7.1
good part about virtual 7.1 is that the headphone only have a driver each earcup whereas real 7.1

and to fully utilise the 7.1, u will need 4x 3.5mm port..

Especially the onboard sound card.

Unlike Megalodon , The Tiamat would probably be like other real 5.1 HS , which requires a minimum of 4 3.5mm jacks for all the drivers to be working properly.

Not quite , most of Razer's sound products are very light , even to say i've tested out the megalodon , still considerable , i would say the Tiamat is a bit heavier than the Chimaera 5.1 , since the design is a bit based on it.

It will be heavier than any Razer headphones you've experienced because if what's being advertised is true, drivers included to create real 7.1 ain't light.
