It's more silent than the black widow series. no back lit lighting which means gaming in the night is almost impossible unless your wearing night vision googles or turn on the lights.
Other than that , it's pretty the same as Lycosa.

Ask him to top up to get to Lycosa.

hmm .. if you know your keyboard well enough, I dont think playing in the dark is a problem imo

the blackwidow's left side keys very far too the middle, used 1 month last time still not used to it, plugging out the macro keys helps.

spoil eyes and mis-pressed the buttons, lol, so far bw is still a good keyboard except the macro keys, if they take out the macro keys and make it an ordinary keyboard size, bw will be much better.

Ofcourse you don't rely on the guide itself to buy the mouse. From it you will realise what are the aspects you need to consider, from there you get your short list and then you go to the field to feel the real thing before purchase.

Which is better? Blackwidow or Lycosa? I know both are from different league. But just wanna find out. I heard that the Blackwidow has some problems with the Spacebar dragging down the both Alt buttons while pressing. Is that true ? Or only defective units?

BW is a noisy kb, the key clicking sound is so loud. (I think all mec kb is like this)
Lycosa back lit is not that good, multi panel also tends to give problem

Blackwidow vs lycosa, i would said blackwidow is better, i get my blackwidow together with my fren (he buy lycosa) on the same day, at last i top up get blackwidow ultimate, we both try each other keyboard, the key typing feel between both, blackwidow is much solid and reality, the lycosa is just very common except the blue backlit, and the lycosa blue led backlit is not tat bright actually. About the spacebar problem from youtube? it is totally bullshit doh.gif , tat case is rare, my blackwidow ultimate have no such problem.

not all mech kb is like this, bw uses blue switches which has click sound when u press the buttons, if you dont want sound, try out brown switch(filco majestouch) which razer dont have at the moment.

Personally i prefer the noisy keyboards... it gives me a feedback that i've pressed on the key....
I dont like those silent or non-tactile keyboards as it gives me a feel that i didnt pressed the key...
