strange, SkyNews originated from UK, don't know where does measat 3A get the feed from?

may be from europe it goes through a few earth-station to satellite to earth-satation hops until it reaches asian satelite whistling.gif

Well, where do you think Singapore and Hong Kong get their feed from hmm.gif

singapore could be getting their SkyNews feed fron fibre optic, not sure about HongKong though

see the diagram below, singapore got direct fibre link from London, how come no direct link from London to KL?

can you check, if you watch SD channel on your byond, both old and new decoders will have no interference, problem occurred only when you are watching HD channel on your byond, right?

then call astro stating that you need a 2-output LNB, no long can share single LNB with splitter because HD channel is using higher LO frequency

you may not like it because they will need to lay another cable for your second decoder

I don't think you can do that at the moment

call astro to request such feature, tell them that you want to backup your recorded video to external USB hard drive

Hi All,

Wanted to ask about the Byond package.
Last week the Astro Installer(I suspect), he called my mom and offered a new package, paying RM150 permonth with most of the TV Channels(those celestral also) available instead of my current Package + RM20.
But the offer wasn't in Astro web. Does anyone heard bout that offer before?

Thanks.. smile.gif
*
it was I think from astro marketing department, RM155 superpack for byond PVR customer only, package includes 3 minipacks+dynasty+emperor+VOD+movies+sports+HD service fee+PVR recording fee

if buying RM200 external USB 320GB harddrive for normal byond to get pvr function, it is more bang for the buck to upgrade to byond PVR for promotional price of RM150, save RM50 + the bonus of getting twin tunner + more stable firmware + 500G harddrive

what if I didn't want that PVR decoder? just normal one!!

if don't want PVR for your normal byond, then don't add hard disk, very simple hmm.gif

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 9 2011, 01:28 PM)
Can you explain what do you mean 2 LNB ? What's that ?
*
byond PVR got 2 tuners so needed 2 cable from the dish, make sure you request from astro you need a LNB with 2 output

if you have 2 byond PVR, the installer will lay 4 cable into your house brows.gif
