QUOTE(Playboy21 @ Jun 12 2011, 05:09 PM) No, I do not get anything at all on my screen. Nothing at all. My TV displays an error prompting me to check my cables, and the signal. The decoder shows that it's on channel 101. if you are intended to pay RM20/month HD service fee, then ask your installer to activate your byond's HDMI portelse use composite video yellow RCA socket and red/white analog audio for TV connection |

155+6% this is waht you need to pay for superpack 3, the price include RM20 HD fee and RM10 PVR recording fee, so better upgrade to byond pvr for promotional price of RM150 |

QUOTE(Fly1968 @ Jun 19 2011, 09:45 AM) That what I thought so, cannot have dual tuner with only one cable, my existing cable is concealed, I do not wish to spend extra money to pull another cable, that's why I called astro to inquire about dual tuner on existing single cable. get Rm300 stacker/destacker for your byond PVR, can use existing single RG-6 cable into your house, the device will then split to 2 output to feed your byond PVR twin-tunerHas anyone ever tried the splitter thing on PVR? the device is not a normal splitter, it combines 2 LNB's frequency bands into a single cable, then separate the 2 frequencies band again at the other end |

QUOTE(evolutionize @ Jun 20 2011, 11:49 PM) guys got a ques about this new superpack thing. im currently on Beyond with HD subscription. let's say I subscibe for the SP1 for rm125. I get the recording service as well. So, this means they will upgrade me to the PVR and do not require to pay rm10 for the recording charges? superpack 1 includes RM20 HD fee + RM10 recording feeto do recording: either buy external USB hard drive and hook up to byond box to record video, need to be western digital 320 GB specific model, check astro website or upgrade to byond PVR for a promotional price of RM150, byond PVR includes internal 500GB hard drive |

QUOTE(Eventless @ Jun 25 2011, 03:26 PM) There's such thing as a HDMI to DVI converter if your lcd monitor has a DVI connector. The important thing is that your monitor must have HDCP support or you won't be able to see any video using the HDMI connection from the Astro Byond box. you misunderstood, AV mode for monitor is not AV inputUsing AV won't get you HD. Only HDMI can be used to see HD. I think switching to PC mode, the monitor will have no over-scan AV mode will have over-scan |

this is from wiki "analog TV" page about the digital TV development in malaysia, don't know who added in, interesting read though
QUOTE In Malaysia, the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) advertised for tender bids to be submitted in the third quarter of 2009 for the UHF 470–742 MHz radio spectrum allocation, to enable the country's broadcast system to progress into the digital television era. The new broadcast band allocation would result in the winner having to build an infrastructure for all broadcasters, using a single digital terrestrial transmission/TV broadcast (DTTB) channel. Users may then encode and transmit their TV programs on this channels` digital data stream. The winner was to be announced at the end of 2009 or early 2010. A condition of the award is that digital transmission must start as soon as possible, and analog switch-off was proposed for 2015. The scheme may not go ahead as the Government successor, Najib Tun Razak deferred the transition indefinitely in favor of his own 1Malaysia concept, which means that analog television will continue for longer than originally planned.[citation needed] This post has been edited by neb: Jun 28 2011, 02:02 PM |

QUOTE(slacx @ Jul 2 2011, 05:03 PM) I just installed Astro Byond PVR, but now I have the problem viewing the normal SDTV channel. It just have 2 options: Pillar Box or zoom. Both are sux. How can I get the normal fit to screen option? put your byond on standby to get the latest firmware, you will then have more display options |
