i have bad experience with msian govt 'customer service'.

if they ask me to hold, after 1 min, if they don't come back, i hang up and call again.

i placed my order thru astro customer service number 1-300 on Fri evening last week,
Sunday morning installer called to install.. 20m cable x 2, ngam2 connection between dish
to decoder.. love the HD and recording.. just that not much nice movies this week to watch,
end up my wife used pvr to record her sinetron (indonesian tv series).

wondering if it's pricey to call electrician to convert the external cables to concealed wiring?

Well, yu'll find same Astro "Repeats" syndrome in Byond HD Channels!! Same difference as for SD!

Juz enjoy the more detailed PQ of HD...& the convenience of PVR features!

Or only the indoor part? With pvc pipes?

itula, was thinking about totally concealing the cables inside the wall..
but of course not sure how much RM would that kind of work need.

maybe stick with external cables for the moment.

If workmanship not good, yu'll end up with much uglier wall than juz see 2 white cables which will kinda blend with wall if wall oledi painted white.!!

Suggestion: You can camouflage cable by painting them the same colour as yr wall (if not oledi white).

Me? I was having ext cables for >10 yrs & now replaced with new ext cables for Byond PVR. Installer routed cables so not so obvious...

Guys, i want to split my beyond hd decoder to two LCD tvs. Can i just use a HDMI splitter, or do i need additional equipments? ... thanks....

Ch.995 (HD test) is "gone" just awhile ago. Possible ASSP HD 2 sooner?

It juz RAINED! And our Byond transmission was NOT affected!!
Guess new(?) Byond dish technology helps?

Btw how abt sharing Satellite Signal Strength values?
To start off, here's ours:
Tuner #1 : 151-154 (fluctuates)
Tuner #2 : 154 (steady)

bigger dish mean more signal...guess so..if we can use bigger ones, should be no rain problem...think so...

If only 5cm increase in diameter can make that much difference, then Astro shld hv increased it by 10 cm to ensure no rain outage, rite?
Feel cost increase in material shld not b much more considering high volume production & a great solution to this main subscribers' grouse! Agreed?

my reception goes out the window when it rained heavily last week.
had to wait 5-10mins to get back the reception. not sure how does it look like
for my recording, though.. (was recording something while watching diff channel)

S.O.S ! i just bought new LCD TV for astro. Beyond, but after i setup everything, my Astro showing black and white?
*i using the 3 colour wire still.

For B.yond, better use HDMI instead.

so the new setup is just for new TV right? (old setup beyond working fine with old tube TV).
did you check if the LCD A/V connection for the RCA is good? (maybe try with other inputs, e.g. dvd player).

:/ So no colour is because of my cable? i must buy hdmi for it?

helo.. wana ask if some1 know why my astro byond always hang. my decoder led screen showing 0, C, 1 from C101 when hang.. plz..
