yea u get penalised if you stack modules that give the same bonuses to certain attributes if say you got 5 of the same type of modules the resistance value would be more than 100% (no such thing right) so afaik it penalise.
I'm working out of Oipo system atm so Guided Bullet you will see me quite often there. I'm based out pof the Ishukone Watch Station running the lvl3 n 4 agents based there ... maybe later can bring you on a lvl4 mission run..... This post has been edited by Phoenix Red: Oct 12 2006, 06:18 PM |

Stacking penalty 1st Mod: x1 2nd Mod: x0.87 3rd Mod: x0.57 4th Mod: x0.28 5th Mod: x0.11 6th Mod: x0.03 IIRC, mods that mentioned stacking penalty use this formula. As you can see, it is recommended to use up to 3 mods of same type. More than that it is a waste. For shield and armour resistance, it has their own calculation and the above stacking penalty as well. For example, shield's thermal resistance: Base resistance = 20% At 20% resist, the shield is vulnerable to 80% damage. 1st mod, a thermal shield resistance amplifier = 32.5% The hardener will negate 32.5% of from 80% of the damage Ship resistance = {Base resist.} + {1st mod resist.) = {20%} + {32.5/100 x 80%} = 20% + 26% = 46% or vulnerable to 54% of damage If fit in a same mod, 2nd mod = 32.5% Being a 2nd mod, it'll have a penalty of 0.87 efficiency. So = 32.5% x 0.87 = 28.275% Total ship's thermal resistance = {Base resist} + {1st mod resist.} + {2nd mod resist} = 20% + 26% + {28.275/100 x 54%} = 46% + 15.27% = 61.27% Notes: 1. Mods that give the best resistance are calculated first. 2. Ship's resistances bonus are calculated last and do not suffer from stacking penalty. 3. Damage Control mod is similar to ship's, that is it is calculated last and do not suffer from stacking penalty. I think that's all for another fact of EVE. Fly safe |

You mean Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane? Yep, as long as the second mod (and third and so on) that gives the same resistance type as the first mod, the stacking penalty will apply.

That was some great information there XJC. So it would still viable to stack defensive plates if you would know what rats you are up against. XD
Hope to learn more eventually. Just one question here though. Are Blueprints Original limited in game? Or only specific few are? And are Blueprint Copies made by players with BPO? Or are they supplied by NPCs? As well as, you do not need skills in anything at all to use a BPO/BPC to manufacture? |

yup its best to mod specific mod like hardener/dampamper example for diff type of rats ur going against
BPO is not limited u can get from mkt to manufact just need industry to speed it and science will be good if u go in more detaisl like ships building u need more skils like specific race enginnerrring |

bpo for t1 mods can get from npc corp stations....more specific mods like named, officer, faction mods (eg. arby, etc.) only drop from rats...so u cant have bpo or bpc for those.
t2 bpo are seeded "randomly" by ccp to players who got R&D going (lottery system) and if u get one you are the lucky few.. Once u got t1 or t2 bpo u can make copies "bpc" for sale or increase their me or pe thru research. t1 bpo/bpc u can manufacture with no skills afaik but t2 u need certain specialist skills to manufacture not to mention components which u need to purchase of market or get a bpo to manufacture these components so u can complete the t2 mods/ships. From wat i know there was only 20 bpo for each t2 items seeded... (thats what i heard anyways) apparantely ccp going to seed more t2 bpo since they will be introducing t3 mods in Kali (again thats what i heard). oh btw some of the t2 bpo's were destroyed by hostile actions so thats why they got monopoly more or less in t2 mods (just like OPEC) forgot to mention some faction mods and bpc can be offered by agents for LP, ISK, or ITEMS. eg. Oh well, now working damn boring. Reading on some idiotic posts on multiple accounts are unfair shit rofl. His arguement is one of the worse. Kept on saying it is unfair to have more than one account due to it being unfair because he cannot afford to pay for more than one account. ROFL. My stomach was aching like mad from all the holding back on laughs in my office after reading the post. When people said it wasn't unfair because the oppoturnity is opened to him, he still kept on with his "I have no money and can't pay for it, therefore it is unfair" bullshit. i also not willing to pay for 2nd account too if u got the cash to pay for more why not u r paying it and working for its isk or whatever just do what u like in eve and dont borther them there is always some ppls jealous of it due to ppls who can access or who can pay for more then 2 account hope to cya ingame again |

3 accounts. Edit: 60+ to 70 dollars per month for an entertainment I like is nothing. Since I do not smoke, drink nor go pub/clubs as well.
