QUOTE(Wikipedia) Overview A Borg cube orbiting EarthThe Borg are an amalgam of humanoids of many different species that are enhanced with implanted cybernetics, giving them improved mental and physical abilities. The name Borg is short for cyborg (cybernetic organism). The Borg function as automata; the minds of all Borg drones are connected via implants and networks to a hive mind, the Borg Collective, personified by the Borg Queen and controlled from a central hub, Unimatrix One. According to themselves, the Borg only seek to "improve the quality of life for all species" by integrating organic and synthetic components in their quest for perfection. To this end, they travel the galaxy, increasing their numbers and advancing by "assimilating" other species and their technologies, and subjugating captured individuals by injecting them with nanoprobes and surgically implanting prostheses, quickly changing their biological anatomy and biochemistry to the Borg standard. |

QUOTE(amberglow @ Jan 23 2007, 10:18 AM) Hi Guys, Alot of us have the same problem as yours during the Taiwan earthquake incident which severed our holy internet route to TQ. It seems all is back to (almost) normal albiet the line still sucky at the moment. Get someone to post a bulk data and you should connect fine but for how long i don't know I seem to have a huge problem trying to connect to the EVE TQ server? Always time-out and connection to server lost .... do u have the problem? Streamyx sucks big time ... although the tracert shows good response 300ms or less .... it appears some sort of QOS is in place to restrict traffic. If this continues i might have to give up. Red informed me someone asked for a mission running Ferox setup, so here's mine. I fly two types actually, my main one is a DPS gunboat setup, and secondary a tanking missileboat setup:
Gunboat Ferox: This setup WILL not hold some of the most difficult missions. Found an interesting news at the EVE forum. In-stations interaction.
EVE Forums: Walking in Stations Concept arts Article: Walking in stations CCP is R&D a new content for EVE based on concept of social networking. This could be good and bad. In summary, EVE might get more subscribers, especially the ladies who preferred more socializing MMOGs It's mentioned the in-station part will get their own node. Discussed future features may include our own personal rooms, casino, stalking/snooping, combat/streetfighting, hehe exotic dancers club, and finally business outlets for our very own Kopitiam(tm) Café, complete with Nu(tm) in maid cosplay What do you gals/guys think? Apparently *EVERYONE* is downloading fresh bulk data because old bulk data bugged in the newly patched Revelation 1.3, so I think the server is pretty much bogged down distributing fresh bulk data

Taken from here:
EVE Insider: Will new graphics engine mean better character portraits? QUOTE(t0rfiFrans - EVE Dev Team) http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.as...465508&page=1#6 Walking in stations will bring next-gen characters / avatars to EVE and they will replace the ones that you have now. You will most likely have to define your character look again from scratch, as the new character rendering system is very different from the old character rendering system. The new system relies more on normal maps and skeletal deformation rather than morph shapes, as it is an animation system that supports rendering multiple characters in high-detailed environments at the same time. I know many people have become very emotionally attached to their portraits, so we will try to make it possible for you to clothe and decorate your new character so that they look similar to the old ones, but as this is an evolutional step in both detail and overall quality, some wierd costumes, hairstyles and dodgy frowns will probably not be reproducable. And yes, the Amarrs will be able to wear robes that cover their face... As for release dates... I can't provide you with those yet Hope that clears things up Torfi Your portrait is an ugly mug? Or too hamsap of an uncle for you? Well, maybe this is your chance to... errr... "plastic surgery" your portrait if the in-station interaction make it to EVE |

Forum bugggggg!
The hell?! My original post wiped by my newer one. Shaff, you did this?? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the new peeps starting their training on their Learning skills, here's one guide just for you Sauce: Attributes & Skills - The New Guide (Revelations Update) QUOTE(Tripoli - XenTech) http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.as...242786&page=1#2 ...... People who are very interested in training the various learning skills often ask what order it would be best to train the skills. The following list shows the most effective order to train the skills. When you finish this list, you'll have all 11 learning skills at level 4. If you do not want (or cannot afford) to train the advanced learning skills, simply omit them from the list. - Instant Recall 1 - Analytical Mind 1 - Learning 1 - Instant Recall 2 - Analytical Mind 2 - Learning 2 - Instant Recall 3 - Analytical Mind 3 - Learning 3 - Instant Recall 4 - Eidetic Memory 1 - Eidetic Memory 2 - Eidetic Memory 3 - Analytical Mind 4 - Logic 1 - Logic 2 - Logic 3 - Learning 4 - Eidetic Memory 4 - Logic 4 - Learning 5 (Added by QA: the guy didn't mentioned this but I recommended this) - Spatial Awareness, Iron Will, and Empathy 1-4 (Order does not matter. Train level 5 of these before training their advanced counterparts if you want to stick to the optimal order.) - Determining the best order in which to train Clarity, Focus, and Presence is a little tricky. For each skill, take your current attributes and plug them into this simple formula: Primary + ( Secondary / 2 ) Whichever skill gives the highest result, train it to level 1 first. Repeat this until all three skills are at level 1, then repeat this same process for levels 2-4. ...... Other related interesting read (Daniel Tee stay away from this, I won't take responsibility for making your brain imploded): Skill Training Times & Attributes Calculations This post has been edited by XJC: Jan 31 2007, 09:08 PM |

QUOTE(Hornet012 @ Jan 31 2007, 11:29 PM) QUOTE(yikyeou @ Feb 1 2007, 12:02 AM) No, it's not free. After you tried for 14 days free, to continue to plat you need to pay, either by credit card (1, 3, 6, and 12 months plan, more months more cheaper) or by Game Time Code/Card (GTC) from which you can buy from Hornet12 aka in-game name Daniel Tee, the mathematically challanged.Bug him for more info. QUOTE(Fusion @ Feb 1 2007, 01:15 AM) i just downloaded this game .....still havent got a chance to play it yet but it sure look interesting ....... It's similar to Homeworld but the control are different. You navigate either by "Approach", "Orbit", or "Keep Distance" to your target. Freeform is you double-click in empty space to fly in that direction. You warp between fixed locations such as stations, asteroid belts, planets, moons, etc. Then you jump between solar systems.Btw, hows the game play like ??....is it very much like Homeworld?....where to buy d credits/points if i wanna continue playing? Combat you can either do missions, ratting (NPC pirates=rat) in asteroid fields or PvP. Industry, you mine, and manufacture. Trade, you sell your stuffs in Region (consisted of Solar Systems) wide Market. You can play the Market like playing share market too. The thing is in EVE nothing is forever, because ships, ship modules (i.e weapon, shield, armour, ECM, etc) are destroyable (mostly by other party R&D, to manufacture you need Blueprints besides raw materials. R&D improve the Blueprints Original (BPO) and make copies of Blueprints Copy (BPC). There's more career you can do and you're not limited of what you can do. Character skills training are real time, meaning you set which skill you want to train and it need certain time before it'll finished training. A skill is from level 1 to 5, and the time needed to train increase at higher level. This part of EVE I like, I'm not that keen to grind level That's all for now, if need anything please ask |

QUOTE(Nightfalls @ Feb 12 2007, 08:39 AM) Use your common sense ler Anyway, it's not bad to train armour even for a Shield Tanker. I got all to level 4 of the one I mentioned. Also an extra shield for Armour Tanker is not bad either. Just don't train them to level 4 if you don't need them. And I didn't include shield/armour resistance skills and turret specific skills. EVE Online Forum: Recent/Current Billing issues
QUOTE(http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=475456&page=1#1) Posted - 2007.02.13 09:35:00 - [1] - Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recently we had some billing issues, and if you petitioned it should be dealt with or the GMs should get to you soon. There has been some conflicting reports regarding if the issues were sorted or not, which is why we'd like you to post here should you still have a problem with billing. Without overly complicating things, if you had a problem but it has been resolved or it was caused during the last few days and you already petitioned, you don't need to post. But if you're having problems with billing right now, please post to let us know if the billing system still have problems. And of course, even if you post here, please petition as well. Something to share, especially the Mission Runners:
EVE Insider Forum: Everything about Faction ships, Submit your Pictures! QUOTE 1) Which Factions give out faction ships? Currently the following factions give out Faction Ships: Empire Factions: Gallente Federation Caldari State Amarrian Empire Minmatar Republic Pirate Factions: Angel Cartel Serpentis Guristas Pirates Blood Raider Covenant Sanshas Nation The following factions do NOT give out faction ships: Ammatar Khanid Kingdom Intaki Syndicate Thukker Tribe Sisters of Eve Mordu's Legion Command Interbus ORE 2) How do I get a Faction ship? In order to get one of these ships you'll need to work for an agent that works for a corporation who is part of a faction that is on the list above. For example: An agent working for the Gallente Senate will give out Gallente Faction ships. Any corporation within the factions mentioned above will give out the same faction ships. The fastest way of getting a faction ship is by working for a level 4 agent, since level 3's and below don't give quite as much loyalty points per mission. Once you reach a certain level of loyalty points your agent might offer you the ship. Your agent will randomly take an offer from the 10 offers that are closest to your current amount of loyalty points. Once you get the offer your agent will request something in return, this varies per offer but usually comes down to either: a normal ship + trade goods + and a Nexus chip or a Pirate Dog Tags. 3) What will agent want for the ship besides Loyalty Points? This varies per offer, there are 2 types of offers you can get. A: The 'harder' offer which requires LPS + Dog Tags in exchange for a BPC, this type costs the least LPS. B: The 'easier' offer which requires LPS + Several Trade Goods a Tech I ship and a Nexus chip. B will cost you more Loyalty points but all of the items needed are fairly easy to find, offer A will require several hard to get Dog Tags, though searching in them for the trade channels/trade forums will usually get you the ones you need. For exact details per ship offer you can check out Hido's agent offers database. It contains most ships and items your agent will offer you. 4) Where do find these Nexus Chips? Please note that this section is a work in progress, finding info about these chips is quite a pain. Nexus chips can be gotten trough agent offers just like ships and items. There are 3 diffrent chips, one for Frigates, one for Cruiser and One for Battleships. The Gallente for example have: Gallente Alpha Nexus Chip - Battleships Gallente Beta Nexus Chip - Cruisers Gallente Gamma Nexus Chip - Frigates From what i found out you can get offer for the chips between the following LPS levels: 500-2.000 LPS - Frigate Chip 2.000-5.000 LPS - Cruiser Chip 5.000-10.000 LPS - Battleship Chip So far everything indicates all agents within a faction regardeless of their corporation or agent division will offer you the Nexus chips. Please note that any more information regarding the mount of LPS your chip costed is welcome, itll allow me to narrow down the exact amounts needed. 5) Why are T2 ships better then Faction ships? Faction ships can be compared to named items, they're better then the T1 versions but can't match the T2's. Basically they're 'named' ships (Though some are better looking then T2 ships and have 'unique' models). They're generally considered collectors items rather then real ships, mainly because only the Named Battleships can out perform normal battleships in the battlefield. (Until T2 Battleships come out) T2 Cruisers and Frigates will kick any faction ships ass. 6) How many Loyalty points do I need for each ship? Empire Faction Offers: 10.000 - (1x) 1 run Frigate Blueprint (In exchange for 90 million credits) 75.000 - (1x) 1 run Frigate Blueprint (In exchange for Several Dog Tags) 100.000 - (1x) 1 Pre-Build Frigate (In exchange for a Normal Frigate + trade goods) 350.000 - (1x) 5 run Frigate Blueprint (In exchange for Several Dog Tags) 250.000 - (1x) 1 Run Cruiser Blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 300.000 - (1x) Pre-Build Cruiser (In exchange for a Normal Cruiser + trade goods) 400.000 - (1x) 8 run Cruiser Blueprint (In exchange for 2 billion credits) 450.000 - (1x) 5 run Cruiser blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 200.000 - (1x) 1 run Battleship Blueprint (In exchange for 1.375.200.000 isk) 500.000 - (1x) 1 run Battleship Blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 600.000 - (1x) 1 Pre-Build Battleship (In exchange for a Normal Battleship + trade goods) 800.000 - 91x) 4 run Battleship Blueprint (in exchange for 5.500.800.000 isk) Pirate Faction Offers: 10.000 - (1x) 1 run Frigate Blueprint (In exchange for 90 million credits) 75.000 - (1x) 1 run Frigate Blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 350.000 - (1x) 5 run Frigate Blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 250.000 - (1x) 1 Run Cruiser Blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 400.000 - (1x) 8 run Cruiser Blueprint (In exchange for 2 billion credits) 450.000 - (1x) 5 run Cruiser blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 500.000 - (1x) 1 run Battleship Blueprint (In exchange for Dog Tags) 800.000 - (1x) 1 Pre-Build Battleship (In Exchange for 90 million Credits) ============================================================ Info about pic submitting here (QA> There's picture links for some of the ships. Go to the original thread for the links) ============================================================ 7) Which ships can I get from which faction? Frigates: Gallente: Gallente Navy Comet Amarr: Navy Slicer Minmatar: Minmatar Republic Firetail Caldari: Navy Hookbill Guristas: Worm Serpentis: Daredevil Sansha: Succubus Blood Raider: Cruor Arch Angels: Dramiel Cruisers: Gallente: Navy Issue Vexor Amarr: Augoror Navy Issue Minmatar: Stabber Fleet Issue Caldari: Caracal Navy Issue Guristas: Gila Serpentis: Vigilant Sansha: Phantasm Blood Raider: Ashimmu Arch Angels: Cynabal Battleships: Gallente: Megathron Navy Issue Amarr: Apocalypse Navy Issue Minmatar: Tempest Fleet Issue Caldari: Raven Navy Issue Guristas: Rattlesnake Serpentis: Vindicator Sansha: Nightmare Blood Raider: Bhaalgorn Arch Angels: Machariel I've noticed that these questions come up most so hopefully this will help a few people out. If I missed anything or you know of any more questions regarding faction ships then feel free to post them, ill add them to the main post. Added on February 16, 2007, 9:56 pm QUOTE(Phoenix Red @ Feb 16 2007, 09:47 PM) Gong Xi Fa Chai every1....i'll be off Eve for a few days namely Sat to Wed going to Manila for holidays for new year reunion dinner etc.. Red, you can do Minmatar's mission? Good good, good luck grinding low low quality level 1 agents But baby sick so bit worried...
