Did the Sales Agent told you it would be waived when you signed up ?
If not, then just paid it.

Spend RM300 for RM50 voucher is approx 16.67% cash back... not bad at all.
Again, this is based who's the fastest spender competition. First 1200 CC holders per week.

2+ months ago, i redeem a Graco Mirage stroller using my HSBC points (89k). i receive it last month and found that the stroller is a bit faulty. One of the locking mechanism is bend and not able to lock well.
Call to the service center and they request me to send to nearest HSBC branch for checking.. Went to the hsbc branch nearby Queensbay Penang and they said they will send bck to KL to fix it..

Receive back the stroller on last week and found that the stroller is still having the same problem.. Plan to go bck to the HSBC branch this week. Anyone know whether I can request them to change for a new one?

Thanks.

Can't you go direct to Graco Service Center ?

Dear all HSBC Amanah credit card holders,

please take note, there is a credit card insurance applied by default on your card under the description of

TAKAFUL CARDS PROTECTOR

Please go and call the call centre to cancel it because I got charged RM39.56 for no good reason. There goes all my cashback for spending RM6k this month. Seriously pissing me off..

If you want to know what is it about
https://www.hsbcamanah.com.my/1/2/amanah/pe...cards-protector

its basically another hidden insurance policy enforced on the credit cardholder by default.

foreign banks love to 'cheat' our money.. Even citibank charges the credit shield plan on the first statement.

Just call HSBC to issue you a credit of the amount charged.

yes you can. For Maybank2u, it's under the Interbank GIRO part.

You can put your HSBC CC under the Favourite Interbank GIRO Transfer. that makes payment a lot easier.

And pay RM2 for the Maybank IBG service vmad.gif mad.gif

Today over at the 1 Utama booth, HSBC Amanah Platinum offers

1. RM150 cash-back (Petrol/Groceries spends with 3 swipes in 60 days)*
2. RM50 GST waiver for Supplementary*
3. RM30 (Additional 2 swipes)**
4. RM50 GST Waiver [this is the only confirmed waiver given]

Seems nice but ACTUALLY it's based on first come first serve basis

Bottom line : Don't trust HSBC signup promotions

can someone explain how the swipe 5 times work?
*
You must register via SMS for 30 sen.
Each swipe must be above RM50 at certain merchant category (ie Petrol, Groceries,..)
Each week there's a cap of how much HSBC gives out.

In short : Not worth to join HSBC insincere giveaways.

HSBC 5 Swipes Promo
- some confusion over the (minimum) 5 swipes must be made during a participation week OR during the promo period (total of 6 weeks).
- referring to the T&C example 1, it appears to be 5 swipes during the 6 weeks. Depending on cash availability, cardholders will fulfill the criteria in the week during which the 5th swipe occurs.

Anyone can clarify this?

Don't bother to win this RM30 cash back. It's luck and time bound giveaway... Rarely people report winning any of HSBC "insincere" promotions

For HSBC Visa Signature, if I fail to have 12 transactions a year and I am charged annual fee of RM600 and GST of RM50, can I cancel the card and refuse to pay both the annual fee and GST? Assume I have just been charged this month.

What I mean is is it too late to cancel the card after I have been charged?

Thanks

Talk to HSBC... they may waive the fees
