Applied HSBC Amanah Plat in MV and I told the agent I don't think I can swipe RM 1500 in 30 days. She said can do BT from other cards. So, I remembered I have swiped my M2Cards and OCBC Ti for around 1.6k and decided to BT for these two cards.

RM 1k from Maybank and RM 500 from OCBC Ti. I'm not too afraid about the Maybank as it is only due mid of next month, now not sure if it can make it for OCBC as it is going to due early next month... sad.gif

She said if nothing happens, card will be delivered to me in 2 weeks time and the Huawei Media Pad will be sent to me in 2 months time.

Does anybody have any experience for their BT? How long does it take for processing? Once it is processed, I will opt for full settlement rather than waiting it to be stretched for 6 months, so that I won't get charged with interest that much.

Just saw online, if apply online can get RM 50 cash back. If only I knew this earlier...

Applied tru Agent also can Get RM50 just that, Apply Online at:     https://www.apps.asiapacific.hsbc.com/1/2/m...S_MAIN_GETITNOW can get RM50 + RM50 = RM100 CB

Btw,
HSBC's Card Balance Transfer Online Programme:  http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/2/personal-bankin...alance-transfer
T&Cs: http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/PA_ES_Content_Mgm..._online_tnc.pdf

Yeah, I knew about the additional RM 50 when I came back... Sigh.

this card can't be used at drinking places
*
It's OK, I seldom drink these days. laugh.gif

QUOTE(mamamia @ Aug 18 2014, 09:36 PM)
Update us on whether u got ur huawei tablet. Sound like the agent very confident on the huawei tablet that u "going to" get..
*
That will be two months later. To be honest, I wasn't really attracted to the tablet and at first I refused to accept the BT idea. I went with a friend and she said since you will need to make payment to other banks, might as well just BT and get the tablet. That's how I decided at the end. I have too many gadgets and this tablet is not really that attractive. Once I get it will give to my parents. laugh.gif

So let's see. Ada means good, if no also I don't mind but I will contact the agent la. If by that time, she refuses to give, then I'll just move on.

I got my card today which I would have expected though. I don't think I'm still eligible for the Huawei tablet, not sure if I still want to keep it.

Still thinking to keep this or UOB One Plat? hmm.gif

Keep HSBC... nod.gif

HSBC Amanah Plat. CC now more like Our MBB 2 Amex with,
5 or 8% Cash Back on Petrol, Groceries & Dining Spend Made during Weekends Only With the Cash Back Capped at RM100 / month
(5% Cash-Back for Total Monthly Spend of $2000 & Below, 8% Cash Back for Total Monthly Spend of $2001 & Above...)

As the Card also Good as a Spare to MBB 2 Amex for Our Weekends Spent On... thumbup.gif
As currently now the UOB 1 Card 5% Petrol cash-back is NOT a Guarantee... as the Max. monthly Cash Rebate Payout for the Petrol Rebate is RM900,000 & the quota maybe gone by middle of the month, it really Piss ME Off... vmad.gif

Plus, HSBC Card is Lifetime Fee Waiver with just 12x Swipes/Year, if Compare to UOB We Need to Call in to Request for It or with an Accumulative Spend of RM36K per Annum to qualify for Auto-Annual Fee Waiver  sweat.gif
*
Thanks for the information. I just terminated my UOB Preferred Plat last night. Now will proceed for UOB One Plat.
You are right, HSBC Amanah is good to complement my AmEx but too bad the 5% and 8% doesn't applicable for overseas swipes. sad.gif

HSBC is cheaper but I am using VISA
when i call them and ask, they explain that they are using their own conversion rate which is higher and not following VISA or Master
btw, OCBC charge 1.25% for conversion fees while HSBC charge 1%
anyone else mind to share for HSBC overseas usage?
*
Thanks for the information. biggrin.gif

By the way, do I need to call HSBC to inform them I'll be using it overseas? I remembered calling Maybank, OCBC and UOB, for UOB I even needed to specify duration and it will be closed for overseas transaction after I'm back. sweat.gif
I supposed HSBC doesn't require right? laugh.gif
Last question, I added my HSBC Amanah as my favourite IBG in M2U. I cannot see any HSBC Amanah, so I just chose HSBC, it can be used right? I thought they are two different entities? unsure.gif

HSBC is one of the worst cards I had before.
The chronicles of my bad encounter with them:
1) Applied for this card in MV when they had their promo for the Huawei tablet in August. I knew that I will not spend that much, so I told the agent that I cannot achieve that. She told me can do BT and I can pay it in full. So, I remembered that both my AmEx and OCBC Ti had some outstanding that time which the due dates had not come. I agreed and she took down the particular of my AmEx and OCBC Ti.

2) After 3 weeks no news of the card arrival and finally it came in early September when I was about to fly off to overseas. Called their CS and checked out if the BT is done and when will I get the tablet. The CS told me, I'm not eligible for the tablet anymore as my card was approved after the promo ended. She then told me I'm eligible for the Cerruti Watch promo but I told her, it's men watches and I'm not interested. Since that's the case I didn't want to proceed with my BT anymore.

3) BT was charged on 30th September, about a month after I received my card! Called CS while I was in overseas and voiced out my dissatisfaction. He told me will check it out and call me back...

4) Nobody called me back and I was also travelling that time, so I reckon nothing can be done but to accept the BT now... At least I will have the watch.

5) Finally somebody called me on 20th Oct, 2 days ago. Yeah, after 3 weeks and told me the BT cannot be reversed anymore. I said "good job" for calling me back after 3 weeks. I said I have already accepted it and will make full payment to HSBC once it is due. I asked when can I get my watch and now he said I'm also not eligible for this promo as my card was tagged to the Huawei tablet! mad.gif

I feel stupid to be thrown anywhere as they like. I feel like cancelling this card after I have made the payment and applied for other banks. Damn it.

Sigh. Should I keep it until next anniversary? sad.gif
I'm still very angry though, the way how they treated me as if I'm begging for their stuff. mad.gif

Yeah, standard is 3 times (i believe), but you can call to confirm about this. The 3 times should within 30 days or 60 days.... right?
*
OK, I will call the CS to confirm again.
I hate calling them as it is difficult to get their CS by doing the selection over phone...

I took note of advice from another forumer. Can complain via email to HSBC and CC Bank Negara  (bnmtelelink [at] bnm.gov.my). I strongly believe you will get what you deserve if you're on the right side.

Thanks a lot for the tips. smile.gif

Does anybody know if this means I got penalized for late payment? I forgot to make payment last month, and late for 3 days if I'm not mistaken. Once I remembered, I quickly paid them already.

Calling HSBC is the most hatred thing I would ever want to do, the call will never be forwarded to their CS. If it is late payment charges, I don't mind paying as it was my mistake. Now the problem is will this affect my credit history in the future? sad.gif

hahaha, why you use HSBC credit card. If you go read the T&C, they really have a Management Fee for Islamic Cards which I can never figure out what it is.

In the past, I also forgot to pay my HSBC bills twice in time because I don't get any paper statements to remind me after I sign up for online account. Just call them and request for the fee to be waive

But like you said, calling them can be very frustrating  - click here to read my article My HSBC Visa Signature Pisses Me Off Big Time.

Sigh. I didn't know about this thing la. Yeah, I hate HSBC damn a lot now. I have some bad encounters with them, you could search that by just typing my name at the search box in this thread. sad.gif
Don't worry, I'm cancelling this useless card soon... sad.gif
At least I feel relieved that it is not late payment charges...

Sis, it may be late payment charges, I don't know, recommend you call them during office hours only and have it waived. The longer you wait, maybe got interest charges also.

oIC, you actually paid the so called fee. In that case just take it as a lesson learned for a RM2.13 fee  laugh.gif And like you said, terminate the card and save yourself future headaches. With HSBC stupid auto tele-machine, it is just not worth it to hold a HSBC credit card.
*
No, I haven't made. The due date is 10th Nov, what I meant as I have paid the last month's outstanding.
Anyway, I'm going to cancel it once I make my payment. No purpose of keeping it anymore.

Now my next question comes in, will this late payment charges affect my credit history in the future? sad.gif Damn it, just for RM 90. cry.gif
I'm applying housing loan soon...

Edit: Talking to them now, it is for the BT 1.99% interest. Not late payment charges. Phew. I'm cancelling the card now.

To me, if you want a PPL access, I think Aeon Gold is a good choice. Salary requirement is very low, only RM 36k. smile.gif

I used it during my last trip, no question asked and I had quick refreshments. smile.gif
