^ you will not be charged GST anymore. Preferably cancel not later than 1-2 months before the anniversary.

Of course you can cancel it now. What i mean is, to avoid paying GST, cancel it at least 1-2 months before hand

The upgraded Platinum card (from Gold) has no added benefits right? 1x point and no cash rebate, only discounts at certain outlets.

The upgraded platinum card is being delivered using normal post service, without prior notification to the cardholder (as it is supposed to be during the card's anniversary). This is very dangerous, dont you think?

Now i am in the process of getting a Singapore card also. once i got my Singapore card, i can ask all Malaysia card to gtfo. RM3k CL is really stupid. A little bit of humility doesnt hurt. Someone just need to intercept your statement to get your CC number. Things can be done together with your name and the expiry date info.
