Actually i think it shud be nice to take underwater pics cos at redang cos there are so many things to take. I once saw a fish the size of basketball while i was snorkelling. Hahaha. Then it was munching on sthg.

canon i duno...nikon D5100 more on beginner range... but once you master the setting you will go to mid spec because begginer spec dun have many buttons/short cuts to quick acess....but D5100 is more on video recording....

D7000 is good lor!!! ask sifu andy for nikon....cannon?? 60D....pair with aspire and alex XD....bang bang bang!

Sifu,

You might want to consider that while walking around during the trip, a PnS would be better. For the fact the N8 would be good too for landscape shots. I'm leaving for Laos this weekend for a golfing trip and is leaving my big gun behind in favour of the PS S95. It's smaller, lighter and more transportable compared to the tua ki. icon_rolleyes.gif
