I am using Q1 for mains & Q6 as centre speaker. I am unable to fix rears cause no space.Actually i intend the Q1 to be rear and a floorstander for front.

My AV amp is Sony STR-SDB795. Sounds OK to me.

As a matter of fact quite a lot of people is using KEF Q series for AV system.

KEFiQ5 is a pretty good speakers to start with. btw, try to get iQ for your center too for seamless matching.

I am looking for a Hi-Fi Home theater package for my Living room.

It should include a DVD-Player, FM radio, Amplifier, Speakers, Subwoofer

( it is either 2.1 or 5.1 or any form, as least must have 1 subwoofer will do), but I will prefer 2.1 mostly. 5.1 will also do fine. but I try to put most of my money on quality instead of quantity.

I watch mostly Astro and sometimes my parent listen to astro's FM. both Music and movie play a very important part here.

my budget is less than RM3000.

I went to Acoustique System in Amcorp Mall for a little testing and got this combination:
Speakers: Wharfedale Diamond 9.1
Amp: Marantz PM4001
CDP: Marantz CD5001

I find this combination good especially considering that it fits the budget of around RM3000.Any comments or suggestions on if I should stretch my budget a little for something much better?I listen to a variety of music like blues,classical,classic metal,instrumental jazz but mostly classic rock.Thanks in advance

He had a Yamaha amp, I did not take note of the model number.Should be around the same price range, I did not like it as much as the Marantz PM4001 though.

1250? can look at cambridge audio and NAD stuff. more interesting
