need high db cos it's only 25wpc at 4ohm. budget 300-400 sgd or around 800-900rm. looking at whardale 10.1 n q acoustics 2020/2010

Maybe you should have a listen at Q Acoustics 1050i that fits your budget. Slightly warm speakers.

I've got Marantz NR1501 and Mordaunt Short 902i, and am looking for a decent (and cheap ) subwoofer, any suggestions?

Ur budget? Usage is more to HT or music?

Recently i also explore world of subwoofers and i can say... its not easy to choose a subwoofer. And require lots of tuning to get it right.

Don't have a specific budget, but very low lo (sub 1k, hopefully can get used for 500 , I'm a cheapo!!!)

HT or music I'd say 50/50...

Also, I'm just wondering... (Oh gosh, I hope my question won't start a war here...) Does speaker cable really makes a difference? I spent some $ on Belden, but I couldn't hear a difference compared to my lamp cord . (BTW, it made me feel better because the cable is really more solid)

Cables does make a difference. Diff ppl will have their own opinion. Mine is that they do but not much. Also i can only tell with better speakers.

For sub maybe if you ask at Subwoofer recommendation thread, can get better response, but 1k is quite limited.

Go hunt IRAUDAMP7S from china. A very high performance amplifier that the price is
lower than RM1k.

Hi guys, I'm currently looking for a new cd player. Some of the models in my mind are the Marantz CD-5004, 6003 and Cambridge Audio Azur 350C, 550C. Any recommendation on speakers that match a DENON PMA-700AE amp? I'm using a pair of Wharfedale 9.1s but looking to upgrade.

Hi guys, I'm really really new here. I have a 5.1 speaker with RCA inputs. I need a recommendation for an amp, prefer used because i'm on a tight budget. I just want to hook up the 5.1 to my TV.

I have no freaking idea on what kind of amps are out there. I need one that supports 5.1 and HDMI. How much do these things costs and can i get a decent one (used) for rm300 to RM400??

Hi guys I was looking for a bookshelf and amp previously but then bought an Edifier S730 (perhaps not a very wise choice) as I wanted to use it for movie as well.

However now I found that it seems like is lacking of clarity for music. It just seems like its lagging of something, and that made me looking for bookshelf again.

Currently eyeing on Wharfedale 10.2 or EVO2-10 or EVO signature 10. I'm not sure how much the signature cost though. Anyone know where I can audition these? any other recommendation?

As for amp, I'm not too sure yet, maybe a cambridge audio azur 350 integrated amp. By the way anyone heard of maverick tube magic A1 and D1?

Or should I just stay with the 730?

Richie, RM3K is very limited budget for a 5.1 system. Possibly only can get Jamo.

A pair of B&W bookshelf spkr already cost more than half of your budget. The cheapest B&W center speaker is HTM62 at RM1,900. Maybe you need to triple your budget to get B&W 5.1 system.
