Added on April 21, 2011, 1:49 pmwhen i was using UB68 broadband, i cannot roam data on UM2G , but with this rm28 plan, i can roam on UM2G data, i just tested it with my iphone 2G, speed abt 180kbps, which is Edge speed, consider good as it is ROAMING on UM2G not UM3G biggrin.gif

I also tot 180kBps.

180kbps = about 20kBps.

Q1=Anyway, does UM2G roaming on celcom network apply to UMobile broadband RM10/month for 100Mbs? or Can iPhone 2G use the RM10/month package?
http://u.com.my/broadband/plans

Service is available in U's 3G/HSDPA coverage area only. Data allowance includes combined upload & download data transfer. Actual speed and data capacity achieved vary depending on factors e.g. device/equipment used, location and network traffic at the time of use. Non-data use (voice calls, SMS/MMS, content, roaming and international call services) is subject to extra charge. Fair Use Policy applies. Excess charges of 5sen/MB apply if the data allowance is exceeded.

Q2=And; if i subscribe for RM10/30days, but my prepaid validity end on day 20, can I still use the broadband for the last 10 days?

Q3= If using iPhone 2G, can still get the 12sen rate on a 3G network? -noob question sweat.gif

do they really throttle your speed after you exceed limit?

i am using it. topped up RM30 last night then activated the plan.
speed is quite good in my area (pantai dalam, KL) download 200KB/s in IDM

untill today evening i downloaded ~2GB but the speed was not throttled

im getting 8KB/s in IDM..

i want my money back sad.gif

the umobile staff at times square said the speed will be reduced just a little bit sad.gif

i will shift to Digi prepaid internet after this..
