Hi All ,

Where to get Monster Cable ? As i know Harvey Norman are selling it but not the console version. It is good and lifetime warranty. But quite expensive and game shop is selling fake one same as original price and no warranty. As I know ,minimum requirement for the game console graphic to get max performance is using 14.5Gbps HDMI cable. Same goes to PC gaming too.

I am looking for this :

1. Monster GameLinkā„¢ 360 Standard HDMI Cable
http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=4447

2. M650 HDTV HDMI Cable
http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=3849

why the hell in the world you want to buy this overpriced piece of crap? laugh.gif

there's no difference in performance if you compare the few hundred ringgit Monster HDMI cable with the 15 ringgit Jalan Pasar HDMI cable

Just go ask around in the AV forum, or any AV kaki, they'll tell you the same wink.gif

unless you're looking for longer than 3 meters HDMI cable, only then you really need to get a good one.

Nope... My friend and i had compare it.. He brought it from US and we tested the same Xbox 360S console and the same TV.. I am using RM 25.00 HDMI cable and he is using the MonsterCable.. The quality is different a lot.. What they said all the cheap and expensive HDMI cable are the same. This is not true.. It depends on what type of material they use.. Cheap pasar malam HDMI cable use 80% steel and 20% copper. Expensive one use 100% copper or more expensive are using gold. And their alignment and accuracy of the connector is 100% precisely, got to ask few electrical shop or hifi shop and they will show you whats the different. The transmitting rate is different, more bandwidth, more better signal quality being transmit.. Yes,cable length is one of the point too.. You will see some line on the tv or refresh rate is slow when you using cheap HDMI..Try get one with 14.5GBps and see the different..

this only applicable to analogue cables, which is commonly used as the interconnects for the speakers, because analogue signals are prone to losing the fidelity when transmitted through different type of materials, hence losing the original quality, also it's prone to interference, hence a good insulation coating is important to isolate the interference.

BUT for digital, it's transmit only 1s and 0s, which is same like transmitting data between the computers, either it's success transmit, or failed, if failed, just re-transfer, and the strings of 1s & 0s still remain the same after transfer, unlike analogue, which the curve will have some changes.

and those electrical shops tells you branded HDMI is better? they just want your money tongue.gif
Hifi shop also claimed such thing? avoid that shop also, it's a black shop, none of the Hifi shop i frequent dare to claim or show me branded expensive HDMI cable are better than the cheap one. wink.gif

I totally agreed with you greyshadow on this thing...

Digital signal only consist of 1 and 0 that all.. the carrier will not affected the quality.. This is totally different if we talking about analog signal... Well that a different story..

But since the TS insist want to buy those expensive cable, well.. let he be.. not that they use our money to buy it..

Google and you can see this issue already been discuss like million time already.. and the result is clear..

Oic.. Thanks for the advise.. I am just worried that i buy wrong HDMI cable because i been cheated by game shop before for selling me RM 250 cable and now it is spoiled.. And one thing i like about MonsterCable is they give lifetime warranty and if the cable unable to performance due to future higher resolutions, they will replace free of cost.

there 2 basic type of HDMI

1.3 is standard
1.4 is for 3D (use onli for bluray player with 3D playback capability)

if use 1.4 on xbox, no different from 1.3
