Hi All ,

Where to get Monster Cable ? As i know Harvey Norman are selling it but not the console version. It is good and lifetime warranty. But quite expensive and game shop is selling fake one same as original price and no warranty. As I know ,minimum requirement for the game console graphic to get max performance is using 14.5Gbps HDMI cable. Same goes to PC gaming too.

I am looking for this :

1. Monster GameLink™ 360 Standard HDMI Cable
http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=4447

2. M650 HDTV HDMI Cable

Nope... My friend and i had compare it.. He brought it from US and we tested the same Xbox 360S console and the same TV.. I am using RM 25.00 HDMI cable and he is using the MonsterCable.. The quality is different a lot.. What they said all the cheap and expensive HDMI cable are the same. This is not true.. It depends on what type of material they use.. Cheap pasar malam HDMI cable use 80% steel and 20% copper. Expensive one use 100% copper or more expensive are using gold. And their alignment and accuracy of the connector is 100% precisely, got to ask few electrical shop or hifi shop and they will show you whats the different. The transmitting rate is different, more bandwidth, more better signal quality being transmit.. Yes,cable length is one of the point too.. You will see some line on the tv or refresh rate is slow when you using cheap HDMI..Try get one with 14.5GBps and see the different..

Oic.. Thanks for the advise.. I am just worried that i buy wrong HDMI cable because i been cheated by game shop before for selling me RM 250 cable and now it is spoiled.. And one thing i like about MonsterCable is they give lifetime warranty and if the cable unable to performance due to future higher resolutions, they will replace free of cost.

Thank you very much... By the way, i do notice better quality HDMI doesnt lag and you wont see TV line (something like the screen slow down , Example : When play Darksider, turn the character around and you will notice the screen split into 2 for awhile if you cheap quality HDMI.) Anyone experienced this?

I am using RM 25.00 HDMI, 32 inch Samsung LED TV , Xbox 360 Slim

Added on April 14, 2011, 9:24 amBy the way, where is gamers hideout in KL? I am looking into this too..
Is their cable good quality? Do they sold it separately? I just need the AV to connect to speaker.

Do this have original and fake? Here in Penang sold for RM 130.00.. Does this consider fake one?

Ya... Do want to take the picture before and after... If i play game in 1080i, the current cable that i use still ok.. if play using 1080p, it become darker and i had to turn on the brightness to max.. I see something like a GeForce 5300GT graphic card image.. Can see dot and block.. How frustrated. Hopefully this special design monster cable HDMI for Xbox that certified by Microsoft for best Xbox 360 HDMI will give us best result.

Added on April 20, 2011, 1:08 pmDid you know HDMI cable have different speed for different hardware?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8dbjaY_fdg&feature=related

Cheapskate HDMI cable only have one speed and you wont get the result that you want from the hardware if you are not using the proper bandwidth for HDMI cable. Thats why when people said all HDMI cable are same, they are wrong..

Bro, u are right too.. But HDMI cable is just like network cable.. Have different type of cable available for bandwidth and network equipment types..
Not all the cable are same. Different type of frequency and bandwidth..
Why Cat6 cable run on 1Gbps and Cat5e can do the same? Price Cat5e is cheaper? But when you do check properly, it is because of the Mhz.. Both running on 1 Gbps but Cat6 is faster because it has the higher Mhz than Cat5e.. Same goes to Cat6a & Cat7.
And bro, not all things are same..
Does Proton car can run same speed as Mercedes car? Logic or not?
People said china brand cable can do the same thing as US brand cable. When talk about quality, of course we still go back to the US brand... Because china brand cable is cheap but unable to give the most required performance.. Just a basic performance. Same goes to HDMI..
Like Xbox DVD too, pirated game are the same with original.. Different is expensive one can play online and can get achievement, right?
Ya.. Before i post this thread i did read on this before.. But when buy the cable and feel the different, then we will know.
Anyway,thanks for sharing.. biggrin.gif

I just just ppl judge by the value la. Like u pay RM200 more on cable but doesnt get RM200 worth perfomance. If u pay more, u usually get a better quality cable.
Example use by samsk is all wrong (i know wat u mean, but u use the wrong example). U should use example of a external HDD USB cable, did u guys know those cheap ass RM10+ USB cant power your ext. HDD alone? (ofcourse unless they are using 2 USB) If you buy more expensive USB cable it can power your ext. HDD with just 1 USB (I take it if your USB got power enough)

What I say is there is slight different, maybe not worth RM200, but sure there are some different there. Hell my friends even tell me using GTX250 is better than mine GTX470 or same performance. HE cant even tell the different shit.

No ones can show the different because if you digitally take screenshot it would be the same. It just matter how good they appear on your TV.

I think the cable expensive at the gold plated plug (dont confuse with cheap ass gold color plated plug)
*
As long the cable that i buy doesnt failed me and giving me a great performance, thats fine with me..
Then we will just stop comparing the cable expensive cable and cheap skate cable..
If you believe me and want to get a great picture with the MC HDMI cable, go with it..
If you dont believe it and keep comment it, IT DOESNT MATTER!! icon_rolleyes.gif

LOL, you have given wrong example...

Why Cat6 cable run on 1Gbps and Cat5e can do the same? (Cat 5e  can do 1 gig for 100 meters (328 feet) & Cat 6 can do 10 gig for 37 meters (120 feet).

explaination:- the CAT6 cable has more twists per inch and is "better" manufactured than the CAT5e. The "twist" effect of each pair in the cables will cause any interference presented/picked up on one cable to be cancelled out by the cable's partner which twists around the initial cable. The CAT6 cable “copper process” has been designed with fewer "impurities" that can pass signals better than impurities that reflect the signal.

Does Proton car can run same speed as Mercedes car? ( it could both maintain on 100km/h )

*
Really? How come Mercedes and proton maintain on 100km/h but Mercedes distance are more further than Proton?

Cat6 had more twists is true but you forget thing that without the separator, you still get Cat5e performance. Cat6 have separator to separate 4 pair of cable and minimize the crosstalk.. Cat5e doesnt have the separator thats why crosstalk occurred and cause interference between the cable pair. And the Cat6 copper thickness more than Cat5e. cool2.gif

Wrong! Proton can get more further than Mercedes bcos Proton is more fuel efficient!
Cat5e or Cat6, you still can get the same speed of 1Gbps if both are in the same infra of same distance say 50M.
PC ===== 1Gb Switch with Cat5e
PC ===== 1GB Switch with Cat6

BOTH get the same speed of 1Gbps!! No difference!
Same with HDMI! doh.gif

As long as the cable conform with the same HDMI standard/version, it will be the same! RM15 china brand or RM250 raksasa brand
*
Nope you are wrong... If you are using Fluke Tester to test it, you only get around 750Mbps or 800Mbps...
Not the same.. Big different there.. icon_idea.gif

I am not talking about fuel.. doh.gif then you want talk about Caltex, Shell and Petronas comparison again??? doh.gif
