Rip all off and put a matte sp? or rip off 2nd layer and apply matte sp...
I think the pre-applied one is something to prevent glass shattering...
*
The normal sp can also protect from shatter right? Anyway, I don't see other manufacturers need to put a "protective" plastic layer on the glass smile.gif

Initially i had two layers on... and found that the screen sometimes misinterpret short swipes as taps, resulting in unintended opening of apps, contacts etc.

Now, i only have the pre-applied layer on. Much smoother and no more accidental "taps".

Here is a old discussion thread that went on regarding X10 at XDA... some use only the pre-applied layer and some even took everything off:

I think not, another thing that i like about arc is its physical buttons, which you woldnt accidently push unlike touch ones

for image lag,
Since I changed mem card. no problems. The one that comes with the phone is class 2. I changed mine to class 4 16gb and no issues so far for video lag.

For changing sd cards.
I've done it (copy to pc then pc to new mem card) for 3 of my arcs, no issues. Just remember to format the new card before anything else.

For Gps Software.
Forget about google and get Papago X5 for android. It's much much much better. Free one is available but I can't discuss it here due to forum rules.

For pre-applied SP.
I'm gonna give SE a call today to find out the main purpose of the SP. Then only will decide if I wanna remove it or keep it.

For home button menu light.
The lights are always there. you just can't see it during the day, but when it's dark, you see the nice looking white lights at the side of the buttons.

Hi atih007,

But this is for the pre-installed Goggle Maps. Shouldn't they have settings to enable "Always ON" backlight?
*
If you using it while driving, plug it in to charge ur phone. then can use the option to keep the screen alive by turning on the settings.

I'm sure there is a purpose they fit the SP in. and it's soo thin compared to normal SP.

Just ask yourself what is the most important things you want in the phone. There is no perfect one that can meet all your needs

These are just my opinions having use the Arc, Atrix and Incredible S

Best all rounder : Incredible S
Best camera/video options : Arc

The Atrix though is adual core is not performing well probably most apps are not optimised yet to dual core. I wqas told by seasoned Atrix user that one will appreciate only the Atrix on multiasking efficiency. Singular execution of apps will not see major gains in performance, probably in games . Overall the Incredible S still trumps the Atrix

No comments on Optimus 2X as no experience ; but based on many wevb reviews the Atrix is better - so figure how well it does?

Being a hobbyist on gadgets, I bought the Atrix to have a feel of the dual core experience and will be comparing it with the Samsung Galaxy S II when it is available

Tech will always move ler. If you worried about tech moving fast, then cannot buy car, PC, Laptop, Camera, Handycam, projector, etc etc..

For now, ask yourself, what you want in a phone. what is your budget.
Buy something according to your budget and be happy with what you have. You will love it.

If i got budget, sure drive Audi TT already. But my budget only allow me to drive korean car. I love it and damn happy with it. thumbup.gif

Maybe you can buy something nice at this sale.
