has been keeping track with this thread, and thought it wasn't appropriate for me to reply much to avoid any bias reply from my side

as we all know like all sifu here has said, head unit is definitely the most crucial part in achieving sound quality.

but again, at times we would definitely need to know how much are our budget.

and again, if a person budget is only 700 at the moment, i personally think, changing a better component set would have make a lot difference comparing to changing a head unit

all in all, just expressing that, we always gotta know at what extend are we willing to fork out so that we can suggest to take the first step into the car audio.

so if at the moment, we only considering a slight improvement from stock ( which i think what bro sam wants ) , and with his budget, changing a component set would be able to give him the most satisfaction.

for eg, if a guy is complaining on the lack of bass ( we wouldnt be expecting them to change hu first , of course if budget isnt a factor, yes it is recommended )

but with budget constrain, perhaps an active sub , or sub would have be a better choice.

at the end of the day, the choice is yours and happy ice-ing

you can use limited budget to buy few things then throw half of it during 2nd upgrade
or you can use up all budget to buy one better thing and keep using it even upgrade later
which way waste more money??

Save up your budget, don't compromise... thats my advice

use your ear to judge, go find few more shop, audit few more component...
Regardless what requirement you have, your key point is use the least to get the better one right?

yup..tats why i choose it lo i went to other shop do survey,all is above rm500 one lo..got another js audio,d shop fellow quote me RM450,but i dun think js audio will better than av quart gua..

js audio or whatever..... Is paper wrap chicken stuffs......
Rather than spend money on this, why not buy back the Sony speakers?

btw, i was told many local sony/jvc/kenwood product especially amp and speaker also counterfeit
but too many till nobody knows which one is authentic liao...
(again from my distributor friend... )

have u tried survey used component speakers? best bang for bucks, i believed you'll be more satisfied by getting out the most out of your $

ya lo..even sony/jvc/kenwood and especially pioneer oso got a lot of fake one lo..my fren who sell me the av quart one oso comment like tat lo..my fren wanna introduce kicker to me..but over budget ady
