QUOTE(samwongjyhhorng @ Jun 13 2011, 01:44 PM) my recommendation is save up for more budget...then get a better component set which you don't have to change anymore in near future... you will end up saving more than keep buying and changing. |

I would said it may worth than you take some lousy/ low end speaker with that budget. |

If u just wan slightly better sound, can replace your stock hu with entry level hu below 500 it serves better than factory hu + entry speaker you can save some money on speaker wiring and installation cost |

QUOTE(samwongjyhhorng @ Jun 13 2011, 05:47 PM) that could be a lot ot 2nd hand mid/high end speaker in the market, especially for those senior Icer, try to join them for TT, sometime they may let you know they want to sell off their current setup due to upgrading their ICE...Frankly, i can't just simply recommend the speaker for you, because it would be different speaker different nature. the speaker that i recommend to you may not suit you, just like some ppl like BM but some like Benz...!!! or maybe just wait for some sifu over here to guide you more....!!! |

QUOTE(samwongjyhhorng @ Jun 13 2011, 05:47 PM) entry level vifa, domination, davis, flux are the speaker i audited beforequite good even driven by HU itself (p80/9887) i believe there should have some other brand as well, but i dare not comment without audit. |

I guess most of the forumers here will agree that changing to a below RM500 set, might not get you significant improvement over stock, in another word might as well just stay stock.Of course used units are an option, but be careful when choosing one. Make sure it is working properly. |

QUOTE(samwongjyhhorng @ Jun 13 2011, 07:55 PM) To be honest, the choice is yours for me, i wont compromise on quality of sound reproduction so steering control is nth for me... i use remote most of the time... Also, there are two kind of products can counter your issue: 1. A black box thingy which connect your steering control to your aftermarket hu but not all aftermarket hu can be supported 2. A universal steering wheel control which able to duplicate and transmit the same signal as your remote as long as your hu comes with a remote, it can be done... But i'm not sure about the brand or price, so got the info while browsing mags so let other sifu to assist you then |
