Guys have a question: when we service the car they are using semi synthetic oil right? My SA said we can change and use fully synthetic either now or after 10k what do u all think? Is it better to go fully synthetic since my SA told me still have to service every 5k?

They use mineral oil only... you need to top up for Semi or Fully..

For Insight, its better you use Semi 5W-30 as compared to Fully 5W-40 by Honda, the 5W-40 is too heavy... It kills off your low end torque...

Is the Mugen emblem for insight. not hybrid tech. Probably to signify the Mugen Kit on the Insight

but this one is hybrid. what happen to hyprid?

Hybrid can look sporty as well for the "Sports". plus the mugen kit claims to have "Zero Lift" aerodynamic added to the insight providing lesser drag, thus the "Intelligent". the Hybrid word is still there. Hehe.. personally I don't think the Mugen "Hybrid Intelligent Sports" emblem looks good too, I prefer the original Chrome "Hybrid" emblem.

Hybrid can be very powerful too. F1 KERS function pretty similar to IMA too, by providing engine the boost when demanded from the energy stored from the regenerative braking.

Cayenne S Hybrid is another example of powerful hybrid

Another variant of Hybrid called Plug-in Hybrid - will be available in upcoming Prius and BMW. But so far not from Honda.

Woots! Just bought 2 vouchers for my Insight and my gf's City.

I think warranty won't void if you didn't go service as per schedule, correct me if I am wrong.

The first 3 FOC service must stick to the schedule (months or mileage whichever comes with first) or else it is not valid anymore.

by default only give u the cheapo mineral oil, need to top up around rm80-100 for semi, full need to top even more.

for me, i would think no need to change to full, becos semi is more than enough, somemore every 3 mths or 5k must service liao, and it is WHICHEVER COMES FIRST, even 3 mths u only 1k millage also need to go for service.

so no pt use full, somemore full gives worse FC than semi, becos it is heavier.
