How old are u now alaskan if you dont mind me asking?
Em, I have such plan in mind also, looking forward to go to Aus. Its all still too early for me so ill work hard in Singapore first and get a good grounding. I heard now is the chance, they are needing people esp engineers but still, difficult for foreigners to get job. Apparently, many got rejected because they dont have Aus PR and local working experience. But the pay there..fuhh,,, lucrative... I thought i was happy with my Spore salary until I spoke to a friend who is working there.
*
25 ^^ dont compare sg with aus... aus tax is crazy n everything is so exp... n to return to msia from sg is so much cheaper than aus... only thing is aus have better work-life balance... you could enjoy the same with a good company in sg icon_rolleyes.gif

aus can boost you salary history... so do it while young, then when you're ready to settle down go to sg cause i would probably want my kids go grow up in sg rather than aus and also if you earn more in sg u get taxed less thumbup.gif
QUOTE(crapp0 @ Apr 18 2011, 01:37 PM)
Anybody have a website which list down the prices for all of the major asian budget airlines servicing singapore?

Instead of having to goto each budget airlines website to see which has the best deal to a certain destination, theres a database of sorts which compiles all of that info into one website.

I remembered there was one which was really good but i've forgotten the link to it.

Hi all,
I have got a question as I was called by head hunter for a phone interview.
Since the position is based in Singapore, she asked me for my asking salary.
I have read in this forum that, the reference is minus 25% of your Malaysian salary but the get pay in Singaporean dollar? Right? So this is on top of the SGD1300 living expenses?

Please let me know if the calculation is correct.

Thank You
*
yeaps, gross estimate according to a experienced forumer here... what do you mean by on top of living expenses?

and living expenses is subjective..

i believe there is no absolute cooling period but i would suggest you to call up ICA and check with them if you want a firm answer. Just as what i said, ICA is responsible for giving you an accurate answer, 3rd party like us are just giving out "ADVICE" which may or may not be precise.

I suppose in a way yes.
POSB does not offer their Go! debit card for not epass holder.
Citibank requires 3.5k monthly, which would mean mostly an epass.
But I noticed ppl saying standard chartered has the lowest requirement, not sure how low.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

stanchart offer it at 30k p.a. lor

unless u have a corporate plan, which really is xtreme low. sometimes I wonder how they can make money by selling iP4 at sgd10 for 2 years contract at sgd30/month package when the phone retail price alone is sgd888
*
stanchart have that rate =.=" from singtel

but i thought selling is around sgd 200+ but only the monthly sgd59 package is discounted to sgd 36?

cause usually for corporate rate the target are the company phones, not employee's personal phone under corp rate. like me i own a company phone and each month my bill goes up to 1-2k because of roaming charges...
