Hi, just to ask if anyone here using starhub home broadband service? Recerntly my internet coneection is not stable and called starhub centre to check. They suspect the modem is faulty and will send technician to come over to check again. I asked the customer service ppl if the modem is faulty, can i get one from IT shop or somewhere online to replace it. He said cannot be done because my service is tag to the modem registered under my name so if i would to get an used 1 the used modem probably would already tagged to the seller's name so must be purchased from Starhub itself. I ask if i can purchase from the seller and change the modem to my name and he said cannot. There is no way to do so..

Just to verify if that is the real case?

I asked him how much they sell and he said around 90buck. wah lao eh, i can get an used 1 for only 20buck +/- and they charge me 90buck.

Where can i get a bus back to Melaka ? Is there any service from Jurong east bus terminal? How much on average it cost for a return ticket? Will it be cheaper if I get my return ticket from Malaysia?

Before I went to Qatar for a small project, I've totally no problem working with any races, but after I came back, the India Indian contractor really make me almost gone super-racist. Sigh.

India Indians in Singapore purportedly impose their caste practices and look down upon Indian Singaporeans who are mostly of Tamil stock.  e.g. making snide remarks at them in Hindu temples and Little India shops -> naturally, Indian Singaporeans are rightly pissed off at such blatant discrimination, more so by foreigners in their own country. Moreover, India Indians look upon themselves as being of higher class than Singaporeans as they believe that the Singapore govt invited them into the country.  In reality, it is because India Indians almost always hire their own village/town brethren for job vacancies in their departments which is why one sees a sea of them in bank back office operations (e.g. Citibank, Stanchart, Credit Suisse, etc) and in IT divisions of many MNCs.

If you guys are interested to do it on Wesak Day , I am available! I would recommend a place called Settlers near SMU at Dhobi Gourt? We can have a meal there and play board games (not those caplang games but real good designer type board games). Jut a thought

They have unique board games, at least more than 20 choices available. You can order a set, which comes with a meal and 3 hours of game time. Cost around $18 if I remember correctly.

Btw, Wesak Day need to work la. Arrange gathering on weekend is better. The place near dhoby ghaut sounds not bad! Who is on this coming Saturday night?

Credit to many Singaporeans though, they are still quite tolerant and accepting of foreigners amongst their midst.  Malaysians are definitely much more acceptable to them compared with say China Chinese or India Indians.

I'm not fresh grad. Got 1 year exp in software based company and 1 year IT helpdesk. I also think that the salary is quite low. But i worried if I further demand, they will reject me. 

previously they already say a lot ppl are living in the east side lo. u still want to organize on the west meh. make it in the central or north coz i know mackiddo stay on the northen side, yinyum in sengkang, washabushi also sengkang (north east). mayb we go Junction 8? AMK hub? or central also ok geh. if central then i can't fetch yinyum and washabushi back only coz i also will park and ride if go into town

Mackiddo is near choa chu kang. so since we are going to JB. i will fetch those that are in the east, then Mackiddo gao dim those on the west. but Washabushi no reply here wor. i think i msn him see he ok or not. but those in the east, u all need to take bus come JB la. i lazy go in and out 2 time la. fetch u all back no problem la. but i dun wan to wake up super early in the morning then go SG fetch u all out.

Mackiddo, we eat seafood, do it in the morning meh? seafood normally is for dinner rite? no?
