i received their letter which will start by end of this mth onwards, so its not on their site yet.
the initial rebate starts at 4% for min $300 transaction and later about 6% for Rm1k onwards and 8% for $2.5k

Do u think u will use 2.5k just for the petrol ? Amex still better than shell card
*
no,it can combine to any purchases to meet the min amount regardless of shell product.
it kinda sucks but its a way for them to force u to use their card so u get more rebates on the petrol

wow, u guys are good and thanks for the info.
i did notice tht if u use is for currency which involves more zeros like jpYen ,rupiah ,baht, the rates(still high) are quite comparable to the rates tht u get from money exchangers. but if use it on SG, Euoro countries, very high.

CC gurus,
i should have come here earlier to get more info rather than wondering or lookin/callin the banks to compare. tq for ur info.

any of u knw bout the ING public bank?
is it worth it to get the 2% rebates and can the current insurance plan just transfer to the CC?

gen X,
tq.
as per my previous post on the shell, to do u think its good if consolidate all purchase from 2.5k/mth and get 8% rebates for fuel only ,which is the highest if compare to maybank2cards 7.5%?
so far use citibank plat cashback for fuel, DA Plat for groceries for since last yr.. my spendings are beyond 4k/mth and no owing or believe in paying single cents for interest to them but to gain moreon rebates and benefits .

Did you buy your ING Insurance through Public Bank ? If not then you are not entitled for the 2% rebate as the Public Bank/ING MasterCard only gives 2% rebate for ING Insurance distributed through Public bank.

Anyway, INGIAFAM-EON BANK Credit Card is the one that you should look for if you want to get a 2% off your premium paid to ING.

thanks for ur info,
ya i did not get the insurance frm public bank and i think i'll go for tht since my family's premium yearly already 10k+

the ing is for single transaction only and i think cant be combined for several premiums:
taken frm their T&C:

a) 2% Cash Back Given on ING LIFE Annual premium transactions:
i) 2% Cash Back is awarded to Co-Brand Cardholders on ING LIFE Annual premium single transactions only [which exclude Zero Interest Instalment Plan (ZIIP)].

yeah, just foun d out frm citibank shell,
the max for 3rd tier is $800 max frm shell purchases with 8% for it only so its $64/mth with condition other purchases must be 2200 to get to the 3rd/highest tier.
1st tier need to spend 250 for shell purchase and 2nd tier is max 500
so conclusion its not worth it.

Bankin FR:

Just update and so happen was free today and d decide to go banking at to PB , it seems the ING insurance can be entitled to the 2% rebates and not necessary need to get frm PB. so i just sign in.

Later i went Maybank for some investment to do and decided to apply the MB 2card. it seems tht lady says no max cap rebates per mth, i ask sure, she said very sure. haha i just smiled

i dont trust those agents. better do a research by urself. i prefer to apply cards by faxing them application or go to branch, but not through agents.
*
the problem here now, i went to the branch to fill up the form to apply and casually ask wats their benefits; after i asked twice to be sure and said finally tht i read the benefits online tht theres a cap rebates per mth, she said no only yearly cap and its 1k . wah liou really terrible.
