I got mine approved in just 3 or 4 working days. Received my card via Poslaju on the 7th day (counted from the day i submitted my application).

Citibank doesn't offer online secondary password such as Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode. Anyway, you probably mean the CVV ? Which is the 3-digit at the back of your card.

My MasterCard gets 7% discount at the checkout page. For Platinum, it's 6% and 5% for Gold and Classic cards. Not sure which category the Signature falls on but i guess it's 6% like Platinum.


The 10% off promotion is applicable only to very few selected hotels in certain countries and promotion period usually is very short. The 5%-7% off is available to all hotels booked through Agoda (must access Agoda site through HSBC Home&Away website). The discount will be automatically reflected on the checkout page after you've entered your HSBC credit card numbers.

By the way, HSBC Home&Away website states that this 5%-7% is like a limited time promotion but from my experience is that it's more like a year-round offer. The HSBC Group has been offering this Agoda promotion for a veeeeeeeeeeeeery long time

@Gen-X, i guess HSBC is still better in this case as their Agoda promotion is valid for a longer period of time and they have been extending it over and over again
