Noobie123, don't quote the piracy post (edit your post and delete the quote) so that you also don't get into trouble. I'll try and answer your questions soon.

Since you are running 4.0.2 on a 3Gs just run limera1n.

Follow the guide here

http://iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=12133&laid=

Good Luck!

I'm experiencing the same problem too but even after hard resetting, it's still spiralling. Is there anyway to settle this apart from restoring and rejailbreaking it again?

EDIT: I'm running on 4.3.3 and trying to restore back to 4.3.3 despite 4.3.4 being available. Can I NOT update to 4.3.4?
*
Wait, are you trying to restore to 4.3.3 or update to 4.3.4?

You can't simply restore to 4.3.3 as Apple no longer signs that firmware. You need to have your 4.3.3 SHSH ready and to either use tinyumbrella or point your host file to cydia for it to work.

Connect it to TU and see if you can kick the device out of recovery "exit recovery" button. Once that is done, the iPhone should be able to get out of the loop and you should be able to check if you have saved the SHSH via TU as well.

The easiest and simplest way to jailbreak your iPhone running on 4.3.1 is to visit www.jailbreakme.com via your iPhone's Mobile Safari. IInstall Cydia via that page and you should be good to go.

Note: Don't forget after installing Cydia and Jailbreaking to go back into Cydia and install PDF Patcher 2 by comex (do a search in Cydia). This will re-secure your iPhone against the PDF Exploit.

hey bro, thanks for the guide.

does it mean that, once i installed cydia, means my iphone already jail break?
do i need to make any changes on my laptop's itunes?
after jail break, go back in to cydia apps to look for an apps called PDF patcher 2 by comex? and install it. after install anything that i need to do?

oh ya do i need to do any backup on my itunes? i bought this phone last night, and i just installed itunes on my laptop, and sync for contact to my iphone. then created an Apple ID. thats all.

Sorry for asking so much ya.

Yes, once Cydia is installed, it means your iPhone is jailbroken.

You do not need to make any changes to iTunes

No, once PDF Patcher 2 is installed, you do not need to do anything. It will not even show up in the iPhone.

You do not need to do any backup in iTunes BUT I do recommend that before you do the jailbreak, just backup your iPhone just in case. It doesn't hurt and since it's new, it won't take too long.

Connect your iPhone to your computer and opened iTunes. Once your iPhone appears in iTunes, right hand click and choose backup. It will tell you once it's done and you're good to go.

it shows apple sign.

how do i repair it? do i have to jailbreak, restore , or anything?
pls help..

im sorry if the question is not clear coz im not using iphone. thanks

If you want to stay jailbroken, you can still restore the iPhone 4 to 4.3.3 but you will need to some extra steps before you can do it.

If you don't think that the jailbreak is important, you can update to 4.3.4 via a straight update in iTunes.

Is it possible to downgrade the iphone 4 firmware from 4.3.4 to 4.3.3 or less ?

I've got your PM and I have answered it. It all depends if you have your 4.3.3 SHSH saved in Cydia. If not, then you will be out of luck.

Multigesture in iPhone is very difficult. The only gesture I know works Okayish is the "return to home view" by doing the 5 finger pinch. All other gesture is a hit and miss on the iPhone.

Now Multigesture on the iPad .... that is just awesome.

Hi Guys, need some help. I m on 4.3.3 with Redsnow.

Recently I have some problems and I would like to Restore my phone to original Factory settings

1) I plug into Itunes and Click "Restore" and then it prompts need to update to 4.3.4

What can I do if  I dun want to update cos i plan to JB it again at 4.3.3

Appreciate if someone could guide me pls.

If you have saved your SHSH blobs (usually if you're already Jailbroken, Cydia would have saved your SHSH) then you can Restore back to 4.3.3, there is a couple of steps which is simple BUT as one forummer who PM'ed me experience, can be full of all sorts of issues (though he finally managed to get his 4.3.3 back today)

If you don't want to go through all the hassle, you can probably wait till 5th of September for iOS 5

ill just wait until the untethered for ios 4.3.5 , now just stick to ios 4.3.3
*
not gonna happen as I believe the dev-team is concentrating on looking for an exploit for iOS 5 which is coming out in 5-6 weeks time.

4.3.3 is fine. There is nothing special in 4.3.4/4.3.5 other than closing the jailbreak exploit. This is becoming just like the PS3 firmware updates, so damn annoying when they do this incremental update that gives you NOTHING other than trying to beat the jailbreakers (then again, the jailbreak for PS3 is pure piracy ... yeah I know some people like the Linux OS etc)

Based on your SHSH that you mentioned, the highest firmware you can restore to is 4.3 and nothing higher.

Hi all,

I have a problem right now where my original phone I have sent back to Maxis for warranty and got a new/old/refurbish one with the iOS version 4.2.1.

This new/old/refurbish iPhone I have ran it thru tinyUmbrella 5.00.07 and found there are some SHSH listed below:

iPhone4 4.1
iPhone4 4.2.1
iPhone4 4.2b3
iPhone4 4.3

Unfortunely for me I have absolutely no idea how to restore my phone to 4.3.3 which is my preference as at now and my phone now is stuck in Restore mode as well.

My itunes version is 10.3.1.55

I have done several test and trial to restore to 4.3.3 and 4.3 both have a list of common errors encountered below:

error 1013
error 1604
error 1034
<There are several more i don't remember>

I ran the Start TSS Server and restore also keep popping out errors.
The furthest i have done is "Restoring iPhone firmware" status in iTunes and i can see the iPhone apple logo with the progress bar 2/3 finish, then error 1013 appears.

The error 1013 is due to the host file but the host file is routed to my self 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com in order to get to install a older version of the iOS.

Anyone have any idea how to do this?
*
Try another method. Change the host file to point to Cydia (can't remember at the top of my head), okay here it is

74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

Reboot your computer and do the normal Shift + Restore and select the 4.3 IPSW file (I assume you have already downloaded the file?)

If error 1013 occurs, just use TinyUmbrella to kick the device out of recovery.

4.3.3 and lower are untethered jailbreaks, 4.3.4 and 4.3.5 are tethered. Wait for iOS 5 which is coming out in 4 weeks time with loads of extra features.

It save automatically? But how come I do not have 3.1.3 shsh?
*
It could be that when you originally jailbreak it on 3.1.3, you forgot to press the "Make my life easier". Cydia implemented that option before (now they don't do it anymore I think)

Cydia usually saves the SHSH automatically. I have SHSH for 4.3.4 and 4.3.4 even though I am only on 4.3.3
