The eclipse is now very evident to the naked eye. And we're even not at umbral contact yet!

Mr.LKM, it is not easy to keep shooting at regular intervals...... sweat.gif The haze and clouds are interfering... cry.gif

March,

The detail of your pictures are astounding. Im just on a 12X cam and hopefully I can get good pics out of that.

Yeah the interval thingy....I've since set my cam on intervalometer mode. Will go down later to check the shots.

3:16am- Have brought in equipment as it was beginning to get really misty. Dew buildup starting on equipment. Packin it all up and heading to bed in a while.... Will be relying on your pics March.... notworthy.gif

I wonder hows MRLKM Doing? unsure.gif

I'm shooting these at 7.2 MP and downscaling them to 800x600 (that's 0.48 MP).

The problem I'm facing is getting the exposures correct. The haze keeps changing the lighting levels and I have to constantly fiddle with the speed and ISO settings to get it consistent. This means I can't concentrate on the interval.... sweat.gif

Near the time of greatest eclipse....0249 hours.

BTW, I'm getting all messed up with the clock. In my post #941 (2:36 am), I said we were not at umbral contact, but umbral contact was already over at 2:05 am. My bad.

ZzzZzZzz, looks like it's time to get a new alarm clock. I woke up at 3:31. doh.gif

However, I did take 6 photos until 4:00. The eclipse was not very very obvious at that time. How many photos did you guy take?

March05, have you done uploaded the full resolution photos to photobucket or can you send me your full resolution photos? I am quite sure that the midst here is greater than yours there. I posted one in my blog. I am going to configure their brightness and contrast this evening.

Last but not least, Streamyx sucks.

Saw it this morning with the naked eyes from my living room on the 26th floor. No chance in taking pics as Butterworth was very cloudy.

That's too bad. I think you can still take the photo as the Moon was such a bright object.

Deepyu, we thought you are missing. laugh.gif

I am not sure whether we can use bino to take photos. If I am going to sell it, the price will be around a new one. sweat.gif

Too dangerous. I was stretching out my body from the living room through the windows to get a glimpse of the moon. I could have slipped and fell 26 floors to my death. shocking.gif

Woots... Luckily you didn't do that.

blueye, my Meade 9*63 is really a good binocular. However, I don't think I am going to sell it as I might lend my astronomy club until I "graduates" from my Chong Hwa High School.

Nice one March. Would love to see the bigger sized pic.
I tried to upload a medium sized one but both LYN and photobucket bounced me out. sad.gif
Only 6000x400 pixels also cannot.
Imagine if I tried to upload the full sized one..........

Need to find another free image host. Any suggestions or introductions, please?

There will always be better stuff.....the idea is to do your best with what you have, and to enjoy the process of photography (in my case, plus feeding the mosquitoes as well!)

BTW it is possible to shoot with binoculars using an adapter, but I think not much point due to the limited aperture and short focal length. Binoculars are meant to be a portable, direct eye viewing aid.

well its a start... by the way limited aperture size will only limit the detail and short focal length the distance of the object? sweat.gif i'm not very good in fizik laugh.gif
