Not on the shutter button, but on the remote control button.

Butterworth was too cloudy. No sight of the moon at 8pm. Real unlucky.

QUOTE(Mr.LKM @ Oct 18 2005, 04:55 PM) Did you see The Day After Tomorrow? The Earth's atmosphere will be screwed should an X-Class or M-Class solar flare is able to reach Malaysia.QUOTE(March05 @ Oct 18 2005, 04:58 PM) maybe just one tiny one? Maybe a tiny tiny one should have minimal effects. Even if it does happen, most major cities here will be too polluted to see it.BTW have u tried NASA's World Wind? I think one of the earlier beta versions showed that that there was a great aurora event which roamed as far down South as Malaysia some years back! Don't know whether the current version also shows this occurence. I was quite surprised when i saw the simulation. |

I was also getting ready for the shoot. But clouds just gathered and gathered till I can only see white clouds in the dark night. Really ruined my plans.

QUOTE(March05 @ Oct 18 2005, 07:03 PM) No problem. Just bring some honey and salt. I'll know what to do with it when we 'fetched' him. QUOTE(Mr.LKM @ Oct 18 2005, 08:26 PM) Hey guys, tell you all a secret! The best place for celestial observation! CHILE, don't tell anybody else or the place will get polluted I think that's where the Arecibo Radio Observatory is located. The dish where SETI information is collected. Deep inside the jungle lies the biggest satellite dish in the world. Here is the pic! |

Tonight has a full moon. Too bad the weather here is too cloudy due to rain. Just can see the light but not the cheese.

You won't even know you are dead as it will happen so fast should it be in viewing distance.

Yes it is possible. One of the best digital cameras to take astropics is the Nikon Coolpix 4500.

QUOTE(Enferno @ Apr 11 2006, 05:54 PM) jus the pure digicam alone..currently plan to buy conon A700.. so is this model able to take astro pic... how to know how long is a digicam maximum exposure? If you mean taking pics of the starry skies as astro pic, then your A700 should be able to. However, anything further than that and you will need a telescope. |

15 seconds @ ISO 400 will be able to take decent starry skies provided you have less or no light pollution and the picture noise doesn't kill it.
