If you buy from proper retailer you should be able to get a case and the warranty to go with the binos. If you're very charming, you can get cheaper lah.

100 meters only? Very bad binoculars. Mine can see the moons of Jupiter. About 870 million kilometers away from Earth now. rolleyes.gif

Note: with telescopes and binoculars, we don't specify how far you can see. Most important is how clearly we can see.

Yah, there are many types of binoculars. For this 7x50mm, ask for BAK-4 (high quality glass), Porro Prism type.

Happy shopping!

The Moon is up, the sky is hazy after the evening shower here in Subang Jaya, but it's better than having an overcast sky!

Will start observation at 12:30 am. But I intend to do a trial run with the camera at 11.00 pm - it's on the charger now. Keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck, guys!

What a coincidence. It rained here as well. Hoping for the sky to clear by that time.

Haha, I expected the rain to clear the sky. However, I misforecast. biggrin.gif I am going to start my observation from 02:15 to 03:15, how do you think about this?

March05, are you interested to co-operate with me? I am thinking to take a photo every 5 minutes and then combine them into an animation, are you interested to join me? If you are, please take a photo from 12:40 and then every 5 minutes. I will only start mine at 2.15AM. smile.gif

Will do so if the weather holds.

Meanwhile, my test run is okay. Sky still hazy, but I'm getting pretty good resolution anyway. Check this out:

Info's in the EXIF. Unfortunately, LYN has stripped the data as usual.
I'll try to put a pic on photobucket instead. But the streamyx broadband is now narrowband (worse than dialup); curses!
