Well, i tried to show the stars on my christmas tree but no one interested.   

I'm trying to catch Venus before it switches into the Morning Star phase, but i think too difficult now. It's a very, very thin crescent now, and getting near the Sun (angularly speaking, of course).

Don't forget the Saturn opposition is coming up in 2 week's time!

Put your desktop pc on a trolley and push out to the garden lah.......

Why don't you post some example for us to see? Usually a blue cast is caused by wrong white balance setting or underexposure...........happens to my shots alot too.

yea..still can feel the excitement seeing them with my own eyes.
definitely cant compare with looking at the pics lor
but maybe with Mr.LKM's new gadgets we can see more of the moon

Guys does any one here has a good way of attaching your non SLR digicam to your telescope.  Been trying to capture some shots tru my ETX with my Lumix FZ5 cam but can't.

My ETX 125 is quite a few years old alredi, been busy, onli now restartign to use it again.  I have a another cheap 4.5" reflector - my first scope.  Its funny, i spend much time learning to manually star hop and when I buy a ETX I was too busy to use it.  My knowledge all karat alredi.

SO now instead of letting collect dust I better startign usign it again, the sky was qutie clear the past few nights, but light polluction in KL is bad!!  on top of that  my neighbours love to leave thier porch lights on.

Anyway,
Mr LKM - you can see the ETX from the Mead website. 
            - I have a T adaptor but its for SLR cameras
            - you can look around for 2nd hand scopes...can get a good deal.  How much is a ETX 125 now?  I know someone with a ETX125 and also not usign it,  if  you are keen maybe I can ask him if he wishes to sell??
            - or u want my old relfector?

  March05-  I do have a point and shoot digicam too, which cheap digiscopign adaptro are you refering to ?  if tis cheap adn can fit my other cam I wont mind gettign one to try.

    I personally feel,  the ETX is not really meant for astrophotgrahpy besides shots of  moons, and planet.  But after seeing all the sights sure want to capture some on pictures to show off mah.

Unless u also own a Casio Z750, i don't know if what i build will fit your camera.   

Much of the fun is in building your own, you know........it's not difficult. Just need to spend some time at the plumber's store trying out different pipes hehe.

The rain came at about 5.30 pm and washed away my hopes of shooting the New Moon hanging above Mercury yesterday evening. I only glimpsed the new moon for a few seconds before the clouds closed in like the final curtains. Of Mercury there was not a trace....
It'll be a long long time before an event like this reoccurs. 

                                          BUT

finally spotted the COMET this morning! sorry no pic, light conditions too difficult, I'm facing the light pollution from KL city (same direction) and this comet is so dim lah.

Also I had a nice time looking at Jupiter (right overhead in the morning) before that.....and got some nice shots too!

These past few days really so many things to look at, New Moon, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, comet etc. but why nobody posting anything here?

there was a comet passing by....? gosh, i'm so outdated.... 

what's the name of the comet....?
