QUOTE(talexeh @ Jan 11 2019, 07:24 PM) CC -> BigPay -> SSPN-i. You'll need to use BigPay as the middle party. Only until 10.Mar.2019...(hopefully they still allow Bigpay after the campaign..) https://www.ptptn.gov.my/promosi-menu/simpan-terbang-percuma

QUOTE(rapple @ Aug 12 2019, 10:25 AM) In 2018 I withdraw 8k from my daugther account and deposit 8k into my son account. I get 0 tax relief not knowing it's a combined statement at the end of the year. Because this year theres no withdrawal from my daugther account so its actually possible Deposit 8k 2019 Withdraw 8k 2020 no tax relief Deposit 8k 2021 So if I understand correctly, it is combined statement (if more than one account) for the pendeposit and the net deposit is based on current year transactions (total deposit - total withdraw). So it is possible to "reset" after lapse one year am I right?

QUOTE(rapple @ Aug 12 2019, 10:04 PM) Yup not worth it. If I know about the combined statement last year, I would have put in the amount of money required for the tax relief. The method of depositing during year end time and withdrawal next Jan or Feb its kind of wasting my time so didnt do it this year. Just dump in 8k every Jan and repeat next year. I concur as we can max the current year tax relieve (depending on your tax bracket) and SSPN still deliver decent dividend so can treat as long term saving. Also the money can be taken out anytime in case emergency. OT: May be I am over concern.. will the balance in SSPN affect the child PTPTN application in future? Meaning if they see you have save quite substantial in the SSPN will that reduce the loan offer?

QUOTE(talexeh @ Aug 27 2019, 01:10 PM) Yes, BigPay has been accepted for quite some time now. In case the counter personnel asked, just tell them BigPay is a debit card. Or if you prefer to do it online:- CC (cash back) > BP (AA points) > Boost (Shake + Mission)

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Sep 6 2019, 04:51 PM) thanks ! now i can split into rm10 each transaction for multiple shakes ! haha... for year 2019, it is Rm8k or still Rm6k ? update: apparently there is a rm1 charge per transaction........ Dont forget to join the Pay Bill Mission to get extra $ on top of shake... From my past experience, paying RM100 or RM200 get shake enough to offset the RM1 service charge.

QUOTE(joshhd @ Sep 20 2019, 11:31 PM) https://www.pbebank.com/Personal-Banking/Pr...-RM10-Cash.aspxMy friend is a Pubic Bank Visa Debit Card user. If he would wanna get all the RM100 cashback by paying off his PTPTN loan, does that means he got to keep making separate RM30 payments multiple times so that he can get RM10 cashback for each time he pay PTPTN for >RM30 each time? Anyone tried this? I mean, imagine at PTPTN counter there, tell them you wanna make separate RM30 payments using Public Bank for 10 times, so that you're eventually paying RM300 grand total, for the sake of cash back... Sounds kinda awkward and odd to me. Or is there any other ways? Thanks I think too late to join now as it count from 1st of the month and this is last month. Wait for next campaign lor... To earn money must thick face to ask for separate payments

QUOTE(saitong09 @ Oct 1 2019, 08:51 PM) Why don't register asap? Today Boost released another SSPN mission rm200 get rm3.5 + shake rewards Ya, can create Basic Boost account with RM200 limit and pay by the SSPN mission. Basic account no need verification as far as I know. The only thing is you need to spend first to earn coins to join the mission.

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Nov 17 2019, 11:46 PM) sspn is not a place where you can earn good returns... it's mainly to reduce the income tax Agreed... the longer your money stay in the account it dilute the return. Just deposit enough for tax relief and withdraw when your kid ready for college / university.

Today went to PTPTN office to do SSPN withdrawal was told by officer that will only be processed next year as they have closed for the transaction since 24.Dec... The officer somehow "warn" me that frequent withdrawal (seems like she aware of many of us deposit thru Boost..) might trigger LHDN and question on tax relief due to manipulation..dont know how true is it BTW i only withdraw one time so far this year.. QUOTE(mamamia @ Dec 29 2019, 10:56 AM) Thanks for ur guidance.. in this case, will be use as “saving” to get ~4% dividend if next year OPR drop further.. I think majority of us save in SSPN for tax relief ...4% dividend is not guarantee depending on SSPN fund performance... If this year can maintain 4% I think syukur already OT :- For saving can look into high yield saving eg OCBC360, SCB PSA... This post has been edited by wym6977: Dec 29 2019, 11:53 AM
