I just went to top up last night at their Mines Shopping Mall outlet. Rm3k can get free powerbank or huge umbrella. Rm6k can get hamper with backpack and savings box and stationeries. They are open till 9pm. Accept cash, cheque or debit card. Too bad they stopped accepting credit card this year.

Can i enjoy the tax relief if i am single? This SSPN-i scheme is meant for children education right? But the most attractive part is on the tax relief, problem is i am single, so will i be eligible to get this tax relief?

Unfortunately you cannot.

i thought i have missed the promotion free gift for 2016 top up so late into year end.

deposited  RM6000 at PTPTN seberang jaya branch,(look for that nice guy Hafizi) still got goodies,  umbrella, coin box, tupper ware and tumbler, and a hamper. currently out of stock, told me to collect hamper on Saturday at Mydin Mall where there will be promotional fare.

Forgot to ask the PTPTN guy just now.. may be you guys know can help.

Say my son already have sspn-i account with me and i claim max RM6000 tax purpose. Can my wife open another sspn i account with that same son and she deposit another 6k to claim tax for her own?

that will mean that kid will have  2 sspn-i accounts one with dad and another with mom? is it allowed?

thanks for any feedback.
*
Yes you can.

But I have external life insurance liao. I don't think I need this.
Should I redraw or move my current fund to SSPN-i?
Is that possible?
*
Since you dont have children, even move to SSPN-i also no tax incentive. Unless you are happy with 4% interest per year, then ok la. Otherwise, withdraw and invest else where.

thanks for confirmation.
this mean the benefits is tax exemption and +/- 4% dividends

Which 1 is more advisable to go for? i or i-plus?
*
I-plus has insurance plan attached to it. Since I already have my own insurance, I choose I saja.

Jfi....the rm 6k tax relief/rebate is till tis yr only...nrxt yr go back to rm3k
*
True. Better dont spend precious time bank in & withdraw for 3k a year. Treat it as diversification lor. At least bila tua, got various sources of income or places to withdraw from, hehe.

SSPN can be one of your many investment baskets. Not all baskets have to be performing double digit returns. Some here and some there. Some can be converted to cash quickly and some more difficult and takes time to convert (eg property, etc). And thats diversification I guess.

have to consider the current EPF contribution too...
don't simply buy insurance whereby the combination of premium paid & EPF maybe over the tax relief allowed.
*
EPF alone sudah terover-over jor. Haih. The relief is too low lah.

How to check if my Boost transaction actually appear in my SPPN account? I tried log in but they only show the Penyata for 2018. Any idea how to see detailed transaction before I continue Boosting away?

Just my 2 cents

Sspn interest 4% + boost 2% (level 4) + shake unknown % ( depends on luck) + boost mission ( depends )
The return is 6%+++++

Some may include tax relief % as well
*
Agree to the above. Even without Boost (2%), I still ok with 4% pa to park a little more than the 6k/8k per year since its quite liquid. Save some time hunting for FD deals here and there.
