main attraction of sspn is actually tax relief RM8000
not so much of interest
interest not so easy to earn
must deposit before certain date
delay in capturing deposits may cause u to lose out

KDI easier, interest straight forward

Not sure why but the staff is trying to upsell me to another Islamic account.

I insisted to have a basic savings account with minimal feature.

Anyway, can I confirm that the RM12 card charge is unavoidable? Is it possible for us to go basic and request for online account only (without debit card)?

I think it's unavoidable for the first time, as you need it to activate your online banking. But for subsequent years, I think you can do without an ATM card to save on the RM12. This is possible for other banks. Not 100% sure for Bank Islam but should work as well. The downside is if you lose your password, you won't have ATM card to reset it.

i just open the basic savings account during lunch time. they dont really ask question and the customer service lady help all the way (initially ask me to fill info/open account online first).

i told her i want BSA and Option 1 (debit card no fees charge). but it seems that BSA meaning option 1. i also surprise that debit card that no fees charge.

initially she ask me to choose blue or red color debit card design but then realise i'm requesting BSA, thus she have to get the black color debit card for me.

It is already 12Jan but only my 1Jan & 2Jan shopee>sspn txn have been credited in sspn account, the rest from 3rd to 8th Jan still nowhere in sight.
