What IF this?
Husband contribute for child A
Wife contribute for child B
As Nric is not related, sspn accounts also not related, thus no linkage to accounts or both parents claiming tax relief for "same" (nric) child
Is that a possible loophole?
You really want to test how well LHDN knows your household? Perhaps for cases where not legally married etc.... otherwise it's unlikely that LHDN will rely only on the child NRIC within SSPN system. Especially at audit (if kena)

I think, guess, that the proposal of only either parent can claim criteria will be not be approved.
Else may have some impact in money growth in sspn money amount for loan pool.
As parents with only 1 child may try
Father deposit 8k in 2025, claim tax
2026 Father withdraw 8k, no claim tax for that year.
2026 mother used that Father withdrawn 8k money, deposit and mother then claim tax.
2027 Mother withdraw 8k, no claim tax for that year.
2027 Father used that Mother withdrawn 8k money, deposit and Father then claim tax
Repeat alternatively, recycle that same 8k
That is already possible today, so not sure why that would be a reason not to proceed.
