minimum $20 cash when opening account (that's what i remembered coz i brought a cheque - not accepted ).
after that, do online transfer via MBB2U

i opened the account in dec 2013 and deposited 6000 into the acc on the same day... my current statement from sspn website didnt show any dividen received...any reasons ? anyone can shed some lights here?

You put in on 31-Dec?  Interest payment should be pro rate bro..

i am expecting it to be pro rated...i deposit it on 14dec...
so far i didnt see any interest paid....

The amount you deposited can only claim tax relief for that year, one time only.
E.g. Deposited RM3k in 2013, entitled for tax relief for 2013 year of assessment only.
To claim for tax relief again in 2014 year of assessment, need another deposit any time in 2014.

Correct, dividend cannot be used for tax relief.

Wah, Single can also open SSPN account. I tot only those with children can open it. Because I saw the application form. It's bit complicated & got child information need to fill. Later I go open the account 

But the SSPN statement states the amount to be claimed as Tax Relief includes dividend amount.

Year 2013 gets 4.25 % Dividend.... better than Y2013 FD board rate (12-month)

I have rechecked my statement, tax relief amount does include the dividend... need to dive deep into the TnC.  
Anyway, I have max the limit by deposit amount, so no different in my case.
