what's with the purple n blue fringing?  shocking.gif
*
its not fringe, itst a reflection.i do compare the shot with my a700 (b4 i deleted it),the fringe are more noticeable on a55 bcoz of the transcluent mirror cry.gif

QUOTE(lwliam @ Apr 9 2011, 10:11 AM)
i dont think its fringing.. should be reflections

so fringing still the major issue on translucent cameras...

hopefully this problem can be minimized when A7xx replacement come out.

they can avoid this by flipping mirror..

just hope they will hear us.
make it a mode/menu to activate this (flipping mode).only single shot can be used, but if u wanna burst mode, let the mirror fix.. drool.gif

would the samyang 8mm cause vignetting with its built in hood?

coz im thinking between samyang or peleng... since all of u dont suggest zenitar
*
i think the samyang will only cause vignetting on FF bodies
however, the hood can be shaved off to prevent vignetting on FF bodies

i don't think so, since fisheye is usually used focusing at far object (eg, landscape)
btw, practice manual focusing, often it will give u better results biggrin.gif

Samyang is good. Only prob is MF. But people say its soo wide so its very easy. Just go print a hyper-focal chart online and put it in yr cam bag.

when i bought my camera, i bought the 1+2 years extended warranty
when i registered, it only shows 1 year plus 6 months...don't have the extended warranty receipt with me now, so can't really call them to check
*
u can call sony helpline and quote ur camera serial number.. according to them, u cant see the extended warranty online..need call them to check thru their system.. duno how true it is..i also did not receive the extended warranty cert from them..so i call them and quote my serial number..and they resend for me again and confirm the warranty period..so u can call them to check is ur camera extended warranty submitted to them already or not... thumbup.gif
