Plan to have a 70-200 f2.8 new toy; between Tamron or Sigma.
Web review told me that Tamron have a good and sharp optic while focusing speed for Sigma is much better than Tamron.
Interm of price, both lens are in my budget.. which should I go ?Pls advise. Thx.

Newbieeeeee: In addition to that, the A850/A900 have a dedicated Mirror Lock Up mode under the Drive mode options. Click shutter once to lock up mirror, click shutter again to fire the shutter and drop mirror down.
*
Yeah. High ends has that. Just curious whether my a580 has it or not cause just read abt it in the magazine

Ehh, Wanna know all of yr opinions. If it was a choice for you, would you pick 70200G or 70400? Its extra 200mm(ALOT) but not constant aperture.

again... depends on what ur gonna shoot... if u need the 2.8 (im assuming its 2.8 for the 70200), then the choice is obvious... if u dont need the large aperture then clearly the 70400 would be more beneficial.

shooting 400mm at f5.6 (is it f5.6?) is okay what?
*
Yah. The 70400 is F4-5.6.

So the 70200 + 2x TC (70400) can be F2.8-5.6 drool.gif

But its more expensive by 1k. sweat.gif

dunno... u ask our experts la and gear master cjlai...

probably optics wise not as good as 70200 (though I would think this point is pretty obvious).
*
Confirm. Maybe should do some research on that lens icon_idea.gif

Newbie ah newbie... 70200 + 2x TC is 140-400 f5.6 not 2.8-5.6.

The 30 Is Hot. But just that its at the bottom of the list, most ppl have other lens in mind like Tele lenses... Well, the 30 is on the bottom of my list...
*
No laah. You remove the TC = 70-200. Put it on = 140-400. All together 70-400? Haha tongue.gif

No.. I mean on my LCD and monitor it looks just nice. But when i upload it into photobucket so that i can share it in the sony thread, it becomes underexposed. So is it underexposed / normal?

Samyang is good. Only prob is MF. But people say its soo wide so its very easy. Just go print a hyper-focal chart online and put it in yr cam bag.

wow..very nice the photos  thumbup.gif how much is the price now? do u think DT 35mm F1.8 SAM or DT 30mm F2.8 SAM Macro Lens will be better walkaround lens? i am attract to it macro capability.. but f1.8 is also another attraction..  hmm.gif
*
I would personally get the 30macro. Got macro and around 30-35mm also. not sure if the 1.8 is sharp at 1.8, but usually have to step down to maybe 2.2 before its sharp. 2.2 vs 2.8 not much difference lah!
