just want to ask u guy using a33/a55 the flash mode is pre-flash TTL setting or ADI flash?

ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) gives more accuracy as it factors in the distance and the metering of the camera through the lens. But its main practicality is to be used with direct flash. I heard that it is very easy to get exposure errors if you use any diffuser/bounce gel etc etc... Thus many ppl still stick with TTL as it is more reliable. Take my comments with a pinch of salt and correct me if I'm wrong

Codyx: Well done - I found the bug on the first try. Looks like a simple programming bug where they still remember the picture you are viewing even though you deleted (because you entered EVF mode.)

yuhi: Filters have a EV factor also - so if it says +1 then you need to do +1 EV in order for ADI to expose correctly.

Codyx: With all due respect, while it is something we should avoid, I would think the chances of anybody else coming into this bug is very small and should not stop anybody from buying it.

I use the LCD to delete, mostly, but if I have to use EVF to delete then I am in EVF deleting, not going back and forth from LCD to EVF while deleting lah.

ADI = direct flash (w/o diffuser bounce etc etc) (remember, like albnok said, you might have to dail in exposure compensation in between -1 EV to +1 EV if you are using filters.

TTL = everything else LOL!

yuhi: No, a positive EV is always needed if there is a filter in front of the lens or flash.

Codyx: The camera always automatically switches from ADI to TTL the moment you turn the flash to bounce or detach it and trigger it wirelessly. So yes, you can leave it on ADI - I leave it on ADI so I can shoot extremely hot sun scenes with flash exposure being perfect. However if I use a diffuser I need to +EV according to its manual. (They will usually tell you how much +EV to put.)

Codyx: Yes it does change to TTL, read the manual.

In my opinion about people copying this and that, companies will pour all resources to try and mimic a technology which is received well by the market. You can see that happening now! Apple technology vs Android + the world. Companies trying to mimic apple's technology as it sells so well! Iphone practically kills off all other phones at the same price range (8 out of 10 people in my place uses an Iphone, scary but true...)

SLT or mirrorless cameras will be the future of dslr as we do not need the mirror to direct the image to the viewfinder anymore (EVF is the future!). Old film DSLRs have to rely on mirrors to reflect the image onto its OVF. In the near future, most camera might be using EVF (if the quality of the EVF improves by leaps and bounds and our world not ending at 2012).

So by that time you might say that the most dominat techology during that time was copied from a pioneer. "wah, kodak, fujifilm, Contax (rise from the dead, FTW!) etc etc... copy Sony/Canon/Nikon/Oly/Pana/Pentax technology"

Plan to have a 70-200 f2.8 new toy; between Tamron or Sigma.
Web review told me that Tamron have a good and sharp optic while focusing speed for Sigma is much better than Tamron.
Interm of price, both lens are in my budget.. which should I go ?Pls advise. Thx.

users migrated from OVF era will not have this problem for sure.
