Added on April 7, 2012, 6:11 pma question to all dai gors here where did u buy ur koup from? where did u test drive? what is the package offered? did u get cash rebate or freebies? do pm me if cant post here I'm very close to buying 1.
Think you need to go find third party sellers (not naza kia, they don't offer test drive last time, damn lansi). I buy from third party, rebate RM2k, 2 years ( 30 months) free maintenance for 2011 stock. Don't bother about 2012 stock, they will only probably finish selling the 2011 stock by 2020. No one wants to buy this car lol. I'm not from KV so can't help you locate dealers =)
Btw, my observations is from last time when i buy.. early this year.

guys. what color available currently?. is there any variant in dashboard/interior?. i see sporty interior with red/black compilation which is not to my liking. is there any normal black/grey dashboard?
i'm leaning to get this car instead of elantra which i hear a lot of negative review especially in handling. wait 1 year for that car n then not as i expected... so i'm planning to get forte koup for replacement.
btw, how this car compare to altis?
Body colour white, black, red, get 2-tone fugly interior. Body colour blue, orange, get 1-tone "normal" interior. Go get a sales brochure. (IIRC)
I test drove an altis 1.8G and koup before making decision to buy a Koup, so I can comment you on this.
1) Handling: Altis suspension is quite firm ( ahpek car category, but suspension is less firm than koup) , lots of body roll (probably firm suspension to compensate for body roll) .
Koup suspension is lagi firm, kinda uncomfortable if you're fetching your mum when you go over anything on the road. ( ear uncomfortable, not butt)
2) Interior: Altis steering feels like a toy. the wood part don't join with plastic part properly. Dashboard feels kinda empty, stock audio is about as good as Myvi. Comes with 2 airbags. Inside "feels" somewhat more cramped compare to Koup. Personal feeling only, don't shoot me an excel sheet explaining the interior space.
Koup interior feels more welcoming. A steering that actually feels better, audio is excellent, you can save a lot, no need to install amp + woofer + change HU. ( non-DVD version la, heard new stock forte comes with DVD, but personally i hate touch screen players, too glaring at nite, and ugly interface when play audio ) Rear leg space is surprisingly adequate ( not limo adequate, but enough for an average 170cm guy to sit comfortably with room to spare ). Comes with 6 airbags, don't know Altis or Koup airbag more comfortable, never tested any yet.
3) Transmission... I prefer conventional auto compare to CVT. Altis have CVT, Koup have torque converter auto. With CVT you can't feel the "rush".
4) Engine: I heard Altis is extremely frugal, I know Koup drink fuel like no tomorrow. For Koup, Town driving FC is terrible, but on the highway, you can get 6-8L / 100km, which is like <RM0.15 / km? Power wise... think don't need to say.
6) Chick factor: Some chicks prefer Altis, chicks not worth marrying likes Koup. So if one night stand is your thing, then buy a Koup. Or a Scirocco, if you can afford.
Seriously though, chicks around me likes my Koup, but can't imagine they need to pull the seat back to put the babies we'll be producing onto the rear seat. Oh well..
Bottom line: I can probably summarize Koup vs Altis in this way: If you're looking for a (probably) reliable car to travel from A to B, RM50 fuel to get you a million miles, get an Altis. Else, get a Koup. You'll feel the urge to burn extra fuel in it. I'm serious.
... and you'll be burning a lot of fuel for the FC you'll be getting =D
