it is a Taiwanese company after all, so dun expect much. tongue.gif For those who can't get a Transformer now, dun be sad - Tegra3 tablet is coming September. rclxm9.gif Skip this and get a Transformer II instead. brows.gif By that time, all the docks and whatever accessories should be readily available. thumbup.gif

The marketing really set Apple on several level top of these companies. And it explain why Apple has so many fans (of course some Apple fans are just fanatics) rclxub.gif . Nope, i am not Apple fanboy and I am on the Android side but sometime disappoint to see these problem in Android's camp.

it makes perfect sense. Of course they will want to include the docks for NEW customers. tongue.gif They already have your money in their bank account, why bother selling you the dock (which is in limited supplies) which can be a good bait for new customer. blush.gif

Clear Google Location Info (...can't install in your country)

Here's the list of supported and non-supported countries: rclxub.gif
www google com/support/androidmarket/developer/bin/answer.py?&answer=138294

For those in the country that are currently not supported, here's a work around (this works on my Eee Pad Transformer rclxm9.gif )
1) Go to Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Manage Account and select your Gmail account, then click <remove account>
2) Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All
Select every single Google App (Google Accounts, Google Backup Transport, ...) and click <Clear data> for each of it

This gets rid of all location information nod.gif

3) Power off and then power on the device.
4) Click on the Market icon, it will request you to key in your gmail account
5) use the same gmail account but use @googlemail.com instead of @gmail.com
6) the apps that are not allowed to be installed in the device's country will have the file size of 0.00B (that's ok!)
7) click on the <download> button**

There are some apps that are not compatible with the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer/Android 3.x Honeycomb (eg. DME mail client). hmm.gif

** The apps that are not compatible will not download. The above steps are only for the apps that have the error message "cannot be installed in the device's country".

Repeat the above the next time you encounter that error message! Good luck.
[Thanks to Ms. Siti of Asus Customer Care Centre, Malaysia!]

If (5) above doesn't work... ask your friend in one of the supported countries to forward your new GMail account's verification sms to you whistling.gif

The Eee Pad Transformer is amazing especially with the Tegra optimized games!!! thumbup.gif

congrats on getting the fullset, most of us here are still waiting for our dock even though we're the lucky 200 to get to use the device first, lightbleed seems to be very common in transformer, if it is minor, best to keep it because i think exchanging with another one might have worse cases of lightbleed compare to yours.

Thanks cyberkewl!

The one at the taskbar is the most noticeable 1. Hahah
The other at the side only notice when in complete darkness. I do notice that the lightbleed pattern does change abit over the time of usage. hmm.gif
The battery when first out of box is 58%.

Just upgraded to 3.1 yeay! But it doesnt fix the market issue. Lol

the market issue actually is caused by Google themselves, they have some problem on their filtering system, causing us, and some other OEM to face difficulties downloading apps from market... no worries there, just google the apk u want and install it from there, works the same
