what is your target price? i can surely help you to get one if you really want - just for you. I think if the demand is good, Asus might not offer a very good price at the show but i think those freebies like the official accessories announced by Asus should be expected free with purchase. Or they might have dirt cheap early bird offer for first 20 customers. Then I must go queue up real early in the morning.

with that budget, you should get it NOW!! coz I think the current promo price with dock is SGD799=>>RM1,957.55 (@2.45). But I heard it sells like hot cake in most shops - not even take out as demo unit already being sold.

quite tempted to get this but then tegra3 is just around the corner. Think i should really resist the urge to buy buy buy...... Really hope that Asus can put a native SD card slot and USB port to the tablet itself.

rumour is August this year. Of course it is US time, Malaysia launch will be much later if the rumour is true. Tegra2 is actually long overdue to make it into tablet, it was announced more than 6 months ago. I believe the delay may due to the readiness of OS - the Honeycomb 3.0. So it will not be a big surprise if they launch Tegra3 in a short time since the OS (honeycomb) is already available now.

I can wait.... Just need to get a tablet that can last longer. I waited for my Desire HD (best phone ever ) and I think it can last me for few years.

Not 18th Wednesday? Why need to queue up? I never do such things, got better things to do. It is not like they are giving 50% discount for early bird. So why the rush to get it.

i think there will at least some ready stock for sale at launch day coz Singapore also has limited stock for sales but most did not come with the dock bundle.

selling like hot cakes or not also depends on where are you. In JB here, ppl dun have much urge to get the latest gadget (or maybe those who really cannot wait already get theirs from Spore ). When DiGi launched the Desire HD, many run like headless chicken in klang valley to hunt for it - the stock was so limited everywhere. But when I went to 1 of the 3 DiGi outlets that has the stock on launch day, only me there waiting for them to process the packages just arrived from KL. No one else seems to care about it. Even some DiGi staff din know about the phone.

Come come....I belanja you kopi+roti brata if you come down. But I really dun know whether JB's vendors will get it so soon. They are kinda of slow to get the latest hardware.

that's the problem.. pre-order units all come with tablet only WITHOUT dock. I will definitely skip this and wait for transformer II with quad-core Tegra 3 coming in Fall.

Good move.... let's just forget about the eee pad at the moment.

so might as well wait till Fall for the Tegra 3 new Transformer II.

It is very logical to expect Tegra 3 will be launched very soon. Coz Tegra 2 is already an out-dated product as it was waiting for Honeycomb 3.0 to launch. Since Honeycomb 3.1 is due in June, the OS is really get ready for the Tegra 3 in Fall. And all the other Asus accessories will be readily available by then. Sometime in tech gadgets world, it is not a very good move to jump into the first train, the second batch normally will be more refined with all the bugs ironed out. A good recent examples is the sandy bridge chipset launched by Intel.

windows 7 so "fat", how to fit in the slim and tiny tablet. Please, spare the poor little thing.

i think the S$100 is the bundle price if buy the combo pad+dock. If buy separately, it will cost S$149.00 iirc.

it is a Taiwanese company after all, so dun expect much. For those who can't get a Transformer now, dun be sad - Tegra3 tablet is coming September. Skip this and get a Transformer II instead. By that time, all the docks and whatever accessories should be readily available.

The marketing really set Apple on several level top of these companies. And it explain why Apple has so many fans (of course some Apple fans are just fanatics) . Nope, i am not Apple fanboy and I am on the Android side but sometime disappoint to see these problem in Android's camp.

it makes perfect sense. Of course they will want to include the docks for NEW customers. They already have your money in their bank account, why bother selling you the dock (which is in limited supplies) which can be a good bait for new customer.
