Hi all.

Can you advise me what phone I should go for?
Samsung Galaxy S II vs HTC Sensation

Prefer a phone which has
1. Solid hardware
2. A lot of modification
3. A lot of updates

What do you suggest and think is better for me? I will be using it a lot on browsing, games, gps, good calendar and finally, looks great.

XT720 is still one of the most feature packed android phone.
HDMI, FM RADIO, XENON FLASH 8MP with HD video recording, exceptional build quality. You can't find these specs on other models at the same time for the same price. biggrin.gif

all Android phones offer similar things. Like wifi, bluetooth and so on. But it's hard to find one that has:

- 854x480 or like display, cca 3,7"
- good processing power
- FM radio and HQ sound output for earphones/speaker
- TV out (analog, HDMI or both)
- decent camera with flash
The main drawback of the XT720 is just the 256mb ram but with swap kernel that shud be no problem.. smile.gif

No its not true. Motorola phones are the best. XT720 is the best. Most godly phone eva at that price. Please stop your fanboyism crap. Do tell if someone agrees that HTC phones do not have a large fanbase.

Exceptional build quality? Your silver chrome coating can be chipped off easily. FM radio? Present in many android phones. Good processing power? 720mhz. Just because its overclockable doesn't mean it is good. Decent camera? x10(AP) and its much cheaper with a better processor. I can point out many flaws even though overall its a good phone. I do not recommend it much because it doesn't suit the buyers. Just because you're a Motorola fan doesn't mean all you can recommend is Motorola phones. I'm personally a HTC fan but do i only recommend htc phones?

Sensation would probably have better build quality if compared to the S2. If you hold you phone a lot i recommend you get one that suits your holding style. Both of these phones would score in every category you mentioned. Also, if you like how it feels in your hand, you can buy it(if its from either one of these phones that is biggrin.gif)

Hmm, I am looking for a phone that will not lag and has some huge horse power to back it up. Yeah what you said is right though. However, again, I believe phone must have good support if not useless right?

Both of whom you mentioned will have good support as they're flagship phones. Sensation has a 1.2ghz dual core while S2 has a 1.2ghz Dual core Exynos. In a nutshell, its just like looking for a girlfriend. If you like how it feels in your hand, just get it.

TBH, i wouldn't even recommend that phone. doh.gif doh.gif
And yes i'm biased towards samsung, but for the average user i would recommend HTC hands down.

Samsung phones needs a lot bit of tweaking to make it fly.

Better options would be:

1. Desire S
2. Samsung Captivate ( Some selling as low as 1.3k)
3. Desire Z (if he needs the QWERTY)
4. Xperia X10 (if he needs camera)
