the biggest issue in android is the way it saves apps.if someone doesnt want to root his device,there is no a good and safe way to free space in internal memory.and because companies saw that google is not going to change that, in their new models they put big internal memory.but acer unfortunatelly doesnt know this and persists to 512mb rom.they are going to release the excellent on other parts acer iconia smart and they have again only 512 rom!!!

That program works like a charm. I used to use Titanium Backup but with all my apps it was surfing pretty close to that 20MB mark. But now that I am using that ad2sd I've got 72MB available. I can even install other apps if I wanted to now. Thanks folks.

SGSZ is more future proof. Coupled with the SCLCD it should be the wiser choice. But since the SGS+ uses the S-AMOLED+, it should be okay aside from the fact that its a single core phone. But 1.5ghz and still overclockable is really tempting. I gotta side with SGS+ for this one due to personal preferences. Anyways, both of these phones should be okay.

The HTC Sensation is a very good phone all round and the tests we ran gave us no reason to doubt it. But it's by no means perfect. The death grip issue is one thing (check our our two tests), but the battery life failed to impress too when it came to web browsing.
The camera is good, though there are better, and the screen fails to reach to the top of mobile screen goodness. The performance benchmarks did well to demonstrate the power of the 1.2GHz dual-core chipset, but the browser definitely needs more work. The GPS performance left us with nothing to complain though.
Here are a few bullet points that cover the impressions each test left us.
Good screen, but viewing angle and contrast are not the best
Still camera does well, though 8MP perfection is out of reach
Video camera is okay for casual users and records great audio, videophiles will find some faults
Performance is generally good
Web browser needs to be optimized
Good loudspeaker performance
Better output audio quality than the other two
Good battery life for watching videos, but web browsing drains it too fast
Excellent GPS performancе

If you still like the Sensation you shouldn't let comparisons get to you. And we're not implying either that one has to be an HTC fan to buy it. We'll say it again, it's a good-looking phone with plenty to like. It's just that there're some excellent alternatives for your hard earned cash. Now, who would say no to that?

Added on July 11, 2011, 12:33 amany android device should have at least 1gb of internal memory.

apps saved in sd card doesnt mean it solely reside on sd. it still take up space in internal memory. google dalvik-cache.

Honestly not having flash on a low end phone is not really a big deal as theres Skyfire. Video playback might be choppy and it might look bad but thats what they get if they opt for a low end phone.
Anways, how would flashing roms on Desire not work perfectly. Even with other phones there won't be perfect flashes. Minor issues might occur here and there.
If you're going to use the phone for a long time i suggest you cancel off Spice. Build quality is below average and the customer service is terrible. Galaxy Mini should be the optimum choice. If you're just buying one to test the waters then Spice would be okay.

salimbest: i know all trade in phone will have low price.. but my friend got a CSL hp and he want to trade in for better phone.. all shop do not want the CSL..

1. How many ROM does the P1000 have? Couldn't find any accurate answer on the web. Some said 512MB, some said 2GB.

2. Another thing I'm concerned about is the GPU. Both i9000 and P1000 share a lot of common, including the GPU(SGX540). Despite the same GPU, both have different resolution, and P1000 had to handle more resolution than the i9000. Logically, I figured this would cause some slow or lag compared to S while scrolling or browsing. Is this true? Do you feel laggy or choppy while web browsing or playing game? I prefer a lag free experience (browsing, scrolling, gaming, apps etc).

This is the video I noticed the scrolling lag while browsing. Scrolling starts at 2:20. The difference is greater when he blows out and scroll at 3:00.

3. Display wise, yes I can live the with the ghosting if it's hardly noticeable like you said. However is the legibility low under strong sun condition? Given the brightest screen setting, can I read the screen under strong sun?

4. Finally (I think should be final  ), softwares and firmwares. I'm looking for more fun between the i9000 and P1000. Fun in sense of playing, rooting, flashing and tweaking etc. I would love to learn more about Android, which of these 2 offers more rooting, flashing and tweaking options? And application compatibility, can P1000 play everything an i9000 can play?
From some comments above I learnt that people are discussing the SGS+. Is it available in Msia? What is the price like? I would love to go for it if the price is reasonable. I read that initially the SGS+ is for Russia.

I recommend you get Huawei X5. It might be a little out of your budget but its definitely worth the extra cash.

hi there. i'm new here. i have a prob 2 choose a smartphone since this is my 1st time will be using it. btw, i'm going to attend degree course this sept so need to change my 4-years-old SE W660i to an upgraded phone since i will attend pharmacy course. here is my needs

1. Brand : i prefer Samsung or SE
2. Budget : less than rm1k is preferable or below rm1200-1300
3. Specs: wifi, at least 5MP cam, more than 500MHz processor, n a good RAM, can read pdf file, and recommend android phone n running latest sys
4. Type/Size : a touchscreen phone  n can last for a day long since i will attend classes till late evening

hope anyone of u can recommend me a good phone without any probs since i am a noob in this smartphone things. thanks
