Ya, I would like to know as well. I plan to buy a LED monitor from ALL IT or Viewnet from LYP, I saw from first page it shows these two shops accept.
Wanna fully utilise weekend cash rebate. icon_idea.gif

Yea same. Saw on the first page as well. Luckily I called them to ask but I believe my requested laptop was already discounted. But again, why double standard?

All IT in LYP accepts AMEX. Done that but you need to haggle with them not to charge you on the 3% extra charge for CC usage.

At first they say they need to charge me 3% for my transactions. Then I told them I bought before with CC and it was waived, the cashier went to talked to the supervisor and in the end all was waived.

I think it depends on the margin they are getting for the items and from there they will deduce if they can absorb the cost or not.

Good tips, guys! I didn't know we can sort of "threaten" them. laugh.gif

How about Viewnet? Do we need to do the same thing too? Reason being these two stores are having quite competitive price. I always survey in these stores and they are just next to each other in LYP. tongue.gif

Not sure. why would you even want to transfer RM1k to paypal. To pay locally in Malaysia? If i not mistaken, For local RM charges, you get the USD > convert to RM then convert it according to buying spread to USD again to be charged into amex

I heard that they do accept AMEX but better confirm with them before making any purchases.

I tried purchasing bus ticket from Transnasional Online. From the drop down menu, AmEx is one of the accepted type of cards besides MasterCard and VISA.

Unfortunately when I tried putting in the security code (the front 4 digits), it only allows 3 digits to be inserted. doh.gif

The most ironic part is they can show an illustration that AmEx uses the front 4 digits yet the column only accepts maximum 3 digits. doh.gif

Long story short, I used my VISA to pay. sad.gif

There goes my 16x5 = 80 points. Now only got 16 points. sad.gif
