nope, the cashier just looked at the card for a while, blurred and said they don't accept amex.. also noticed they didnt put up the amex accepted logo at the counter d.

Anyone tried linking the Amex card to Paypal? I do not have Paypal acc before and wanted to sign up.

But for the CVC part, I couldn't type in the 4 digit required, only 3. So how should I key in for that?

Just did it few days ago.
No issues at all, I can put in the 4 digits.

It mentions: Last 3-digits on the back of your card. For AmEx, 4 digits on the front of your card.
Make sure you have selected AMEX from the top drop down menu.

is the store throughout Malaysia do not support Amex? tried just now, cashier just simply swipe and machine said unsupported card. then cashier said, line bank ni tak ok kot :-) they use Maybank terminal, they should consider for Amex

Not every Maybank terminal supports AMEX. For instance at certain Perodua service centre. It depends if the merchant pays to enable AMEX or not.

Pathlab in Muar do not accept AMEX...
They are using Citibank terminal......

Any minimum amount that can be used for petrol? Just went to one BHP kiosk and the minimum charge is RM20. Not fair coz Visa and Mastercard got no mimimum charge.

never encounter minimum amount with any petrol kiosk. normally just insert the card and pump accordingly.

I was in Dhaka, Bangladesh and I was surprised to learn that a lot of shops accept Amex. I noticed that all the shops which accept credit cards also accept Amex. I can see Amex advertisements and banners all over the place.

You swiped at the counter or self-service counter? How you know that it needs to reach min of RM 20?

The counter ppl dun like me swipe it and he said it is the boss's instruction.

BHP pump only accepts visa and master.. If want to use Amex, need to go to counter and they set the limit RM20 to swipe. Can complaint to Amex?

Should complain to BHP management not AMEX.

If you swipe over the counter, they may impose min amount to swipe.
