I am very surprised that KL Sports Medical Centre located in Damansara Heights, which mainly cater to national athletes and affluent groups, does not accept Amex.
On the other hand, TM Point in Taman Desa KL accept Amex over the counters. However, they do not open on Saturdays.

QUOTE(chding @ Apr 8 2011, 11:07 AM) anyone can list out which petronas station at KV accepts amex? As far as I know, these 2 Petronas stations accept Amex. Also, you have to swipe your Amex over the counter. 1. Jalan Ampang, near Ampwalk 2. Old Klang Road, near Pearl Point You can check whether the entrace of the Petronas station displays Amex logo. If it shows Amex logo, the station would accept it. This post has been edited by winner: Apr 8 2011, 12:32 PM

I patronized these 2 outlets and did not see any Amex logo. By the way, UNICEF accepts Amex for donation.

QUOTE(timetravelller @ Jun 27 2011, 07:29 AM) this is the good way of using cc over cash (of course need self-control). don't ever use the credit while u have no cash to play. normally after the transaction i will bank in the cash into it if u see my drill closely. time, you are really an expert! I respect you. Before your explanation, I always thought that purchasing chips at casino is considered cash advance. You shared with us how to turn chips purchase into retail transaction.

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Jun 29 2011, 11:18 AM) Just want to get some clarifications. With the 3x 1k NN chips, let's say I throw 1k on table to exchange smaller chips, 10x RM100. The RM100 chips is the normal/standard black colour chips ? Or still in NN chips ? i.e. is it that simple to cash it ? Or I need to bet the 10x RM100 NN chips on table, if strike, they'll pay me and also change the NN chips placed in bet to cash chip ? There is no way to cenvert your non-negotiable chips to cash chips. In other words, when you buy the package of RM3,000 non-negotiable chips, you have to prepare to lose the entire RM3,000 capital investment.

QUOTE(timetravelller @ Jun 29 2011, 12:45 PM) there're method to do that. but of course the house have the edge. why not u play roulette, u place all 37 number, u sure kena 1 number right? so u only lose 1/37 of 3000 which is RM81 only. that's why i say this package for gambler lo.. You lose 36 out of 37 actually.

QUOTE(gerrardling @ Jun 29 2011, 01:40 PM) why not place 1.5k in odd, 1.5k in even, that mean u does not gain anything or lose anything Then the RM1,500 non-negotiable chips become RM750, then half again, and so on.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 29 2011, 02:20 PM) 5% of RM1500 = RM75. Lose RM75 in baccarat, better than lose RM81 in roulette. You charge the RM3,000 package to your Amex during weekday, you will get 15,000 TPs equivalent to RM75 cash back. That amount equals to the commission that you need to pay. You only need to factor in the travelling cost to Genting.

QUOTE(timetravelller @ Jun 29 2011, 03:31 PM) btw, guaranty way to wash by expecting worst scenario is here (baccarat with commission): 1. Place NN1.5k on both banker and player. open banker (worst scenario as i said) u left NN1500 + Cash Chip 1425 2. Fork out ur own 75 bucks, then place NN1500 on player, Cash Chip 1500 on banker (1425 + 75 from ur pocket) 3. Open banker then u have (1425 cash chip 1500 cash chip = 2925). if open player repeat 3rd step until it open banker. 4. After open banker, deduct the 75 from ur pocket u left cash chip 2850. 5. Go to counter change the cash back and deposit back to amex. 6. Enjoys ur meal and stay. A very good explanation. But there is risk that banker can win all your chips.

I was in Dhaka, Bangladesh and I was surprised to learn that a lot of shops accept Amex. I noticed that all the shops which accept credit cards also accept Amex. I can see Amex advertisements and banners all over the place.

I think somebody did mention Amex was not accepted by UNIQLO at Farenheit. I bought something there just now, and my Amex was rejected too. Fortunately I brought along my SCB JustOne Titanium MC, which gives me 2% cash back on non-Fridays.
