well...if urgoing to do some serious gaming on the lappy like i do, you wud be damn frustrated.the thin profile isnt capable to remove hot air from the laptop.starting to regret buying it.wat frustrates me is dat u have a big GPU power, n yet u cannot have fun w it. u choose to use throttlestop but there are risks like damaging ur motherboard n battery due to intese heat while gaming.

100% agree. kinda regret but loving the design, so havta sacrifice a bit on gaming. can game, but not for a long time. scared later might damage the motherboard. smile.gif smile.gif

ugh...my sole purpose buying the laptop is the gt540 gpu actually. been a big supporter of acer since 2007. 4830TG's my 3rd acer smile.gif for 2499, all da features really contribute to the value for money aspect of da laptop.that is y i bought it. smile.gif

well...i learn my lesson da hard way...starting to think about buying a new gaming desktop...so frustrated gaming on this machine...

all the disappointments aside, 4830tg is defintiely da perfect machine for gaming when ur on the road. or go balik kampung.

Used to be true back where battery technology was in the stone age, but these day and age, with all the new battery technology the old "8 hours fully charge before you can use" simply isn't true anymore.

I always have a good laugh at anyone trying to sound like they know what they are talking about, particularly older handphone seller who still repeat the 8 hour mantra. But no, just charge until its full, and you're free to use it after that.

Which means I can use the laptop while charging it for the first time?

Congrats. I'm also getting it next week. rclxms.gif

Well, there are some bad feedbacks too,
according to notroxcity , there are some throttling issues in the processor. that's quite disappointing though ....

sorry if i post at wrong section..here goes my problem

i have a problem regarding my laptop and hopefully someone here is kind enough to give me an answer or a solution.

Why every time when i shut down, before logging off from desktop, there's warning pop out said that "force to shut down" or "cancel". What's that? is there something i left to close before turning off? It only appear 1 second, even when i get the chance to click cancel, it doesn't work and continue to shut down.

Anyone of you face the same problem as mine?
