does the extended 3 years warranty include for exchanging the built-in battery if spoiled??
and does anyone know how much does it cost for that built-in battery??
*
After reading from both Acer warranty booklet and the extended booklet i think , the battery is included under 1 year warranty but not included in extended as its is considered "wear and tear" item

QUOTE(Naz23 @ Apr 16 2011, 06:36 PM)
Wow! Really? Selling like hot cakes, ya? I'm interested in this lappy too. My only concern in the built-in battery. Otherwise, it's kinda a perfect lappy for me. Considering between this lappy and Asus A43SV hmm.gif
*
u cant go wrong with a43sv , its almost too cheap! with i7 + gt540 n less then 3k! it got poisonous effect on it own ph34r.gif

only lack usb 3.0n yea, compare to 4830tg looks, its kinda lame.. no hard feeling a43sv owners! tongue.gif

QUOTE(tokyotenshi @ Apr 16 2011, 08:04 PM)
Thanks smile.gif
Yup I was on balance mode, changed to powersaving, and it's been 9 hours with some sleep time on and off and the battery still has 60% biggrin.gif My old aspire 5920G's battery would've ran out 6 hours ago even on sleep mode lol

I'm also concerned about the battery being built in, i guess have to gamble now.. this is the only laptop that's better than other laptops i've compared with in term of price, specs, battery life, size and weight biggrin.gif

The laptop is out of stock already in one booth? o__o Wow, that's fast.

Oh yeah, the lid is fingerprint magnet....
*
ill say dont waste ur worry juice is it aint anything worth to worry about. at least we can enjoy the 1st year sweat.gif haha

n about the lid, yea even so its matte but so loving the finger prints!

QUOTE(toughnut @ Apr 16 2011, 08:38 PM)
With power saving on, 4830TG discharge rate around what numbers? 6.5W? Web browsing, minimum brightness, mute.

Mine around 11.0-14W, cant really make it lower than 11W. Maximum cpu speed already limit to 20% under power option profile. I guess i5 really make a different even at idle.
*
yep around 5 - 10w , but strictly wifi + powersmart ON only with lowest visibility on display.
Even with bluetooth on, that figure will be change like mine now around 11-12w sweat.gif

i just came back from pc fair. totally out of stock for acer 4830tg timeline series. omg. the only lappy that can fight with 4830tg is Asus. almost the same spec but price at rm2699

btw, another good bargain from acer also. the i7 15.6" led.

just add another rm300 bucks to get that. quite worth it also. running same spec with 4830tg but the different is the screen size and also the processor.

happy buying! =)
*
u mean the 5750g right? sweat.gif

congratz!

QUOTE(remonx @ Apr 17 2011, 10:50 PM)
I really cant decide which lappy to buy!! acer 4830gt(rm2.4k) or asus n53sv(rm2.5k)! both lappys are really good enough for normal use..
*
that is kinda different, bcoz its 14" vs 15"

if u prefer mobility then its 4830tg , that N53sv gonna less portable then 4830tg but offer much better display size for entertainment n stuff.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 18 2011, 12:30 AM)
Which is why I put the "rational" word there  laugh.gif
Non built-in battery, 2 years international warranty.... its better...
But the design of the 4830Tg just makes people want it more  wub.gif
*
usually most of the time asus triump over the 2 years warranty, but at rm2899 ( isnt it the rrp for n43sl? ) its more expensive then 4839tg.
4830tg fares better with rm2499+198=3 years warranty. Total cost rm2697

Should be RM2599, since all the prices shown in the brochure are RM100 more than usual?  hmm.gif
But then if we extend 2 years warranty only, the price of the Acer would be exactly the same to the Asus, more or less  laugh.gif
[attachmentid=2162532]
*
so basically it will be onsale lower then 2.6k n from that pamplet/catalog it shows full hd feature! which model got the fhd display, thats gonna be awsome!

can any of the 4830tg's owners, do a youtube video review already? smile.gif kinda frustrated cudnt buy it during pcfair. but considering, AMD Llano is coming, i am at peace.smile.gif
*
yea. i dont beleive it. few decades ago. people frustated waiting for asus n bought acer instead. this time round 4830tg turn the tide. some forumers end up buying a43 n n53. i think acer dint anticipate the hotness of this model which is a shame bcoz in computer world things gonna loose impact fast. tech gonna be replace even faster! i bet when n43sl n llano comes , 4830 is just gonna be another lappy to consider

on other part of the world , its also the same. people are still waiting for x830 series. ive read from notebookcheck forum theyre dieing of waiting over there! laugh.gif

btw there a lot of foreign vids on youtube now. highly poisonous too i might add. waiting might be hurt but waiting mean posible encounter of newer model which is great! brows.gif

not really sure about that. but my friend use it on wifi can last for 3 hours.

btw, the video really poisoning meeeee!! but i cant get stock now i think. anyone here know any best sellers with nice price?

60% getting 4830tg after being poison by the video.
40% getting 5750g becos of higher processors and also cache memory.
oh ya, guys i just discover that the old 4820tg is not with built in battery. how come the new model comes with built in battery  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  i dont wan built in.... omgggg..
*
maybe he use "high performance" on batt ? there no way its gonna be less then 6 hours on "power save" n powersmart activated if only wifi'ing. at least not mine.

*
yep. even 5750g also out of stock for few days back then. bad thing for acer good thing for potential buyers as hordes of 14" machinery are flooding into market now.

QUOTE(LANuke @ Apr 23 2011, 03:03 PM)
found something in the Acer warranty that caught my interest, item no. 6f
http://www.acer.com.my/ac/en/MY/content/warranty

This warranty shall be rendered null and void if :
The Product is not purchased from Acer or through Acer's authorized distributors and resellers.

how to check if the seller is authorized? hmm.gif

where to check what component/hardware is included in the extended warranty? i read before the built in battery is not  sweat.gif
*
i was fondly reminded with this when i purchased my 4830tg back then, warranty gonna be an issue if the laptop , any model , are not purchased from authorized everything.

use Fraps to check the FPS.
If the FPS is around 40 - 60. Its smooth.
If the FPS is less than 30, then its lagging. You either need to lower the settings or cap the fps.
I cap my crysis 2 FPS at 30 because I see consoles like PS3 and xbox360 are also running crysis 2 on 30 FPS.
sorry for flooding the forum ... sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
u mean me avatar? then yea it is biggrin.gif

if it ran around 60 on 1080p then that bloody impressive which im doubt it is sweat.gif
